Re: Uber Noober Doober
Personally, I use counterstrike all the time. It's just another attack if it can proc, which in turn increases your DPS. Only drawback is the increased mana drain, but that can be countered easily with high ML on the weapon and good equipment. And same as those before me said - I keep my DCI high as...

Re: New player to the server
Welcome to the shard. Since you are a UO vet, you probably know the basics, but a lot of things here are custom so it might take you a bit to get accustomed to how things are. First off - there are no strict roles here. Since there is no skill cap, you can be anything and everything. Most people sta...

Re: Selling stuff as a newbie.
If you can count it as newbie stuff you can farm and sell resources on [exex - wood and ingots mostly, they fetch a decent price. If you explore a bit, you might want to mark (runestones) locations where you find special, coloured wood/ore types. Though the highest tiers require having a PS of the a...

Re: Filling in the gaps
My info might be dated, since it's been a while since I did the calculations, but having bushindo along with parrying reduces your shield parry chance by 10% (or so) but doubles your parry chance with 2-hand weapons (including bows!). Seeing that 2H are the most used weapon category - being best DMG...

Re: Relayer Resists/Enhance Potions
I always thought that EnhP was a simple x% modifier. Ie. - a GS potion of 20 point power (IIRC) would be 20 x (100+EnhP)%. Though that formula seems to be wrong when compared to the numbers supplied by Cornbread. It gives 82 while it should give 87. It might be because there is either a cap, a certa...

Re: Impact of 120 Tactics vs 100?
If you look at it with simple numbers and basic math the increase in damage would be roughly 10% for 100->120 tactics and 5% for anatomy. Say your base DMG is 100 (a simple number, not really possible), you add *100% tactics to get 200 (current damage). And then you do the same (100*120% for increas...

Re: [Razor] Auto-Attack Macro
Also, I think the extension for the file should be xxx.macro, not xxx.txt for Razor to see it as a usable macro.

It may also happen that he simply ignored the voting. Some people just stand in the middle, fire up their macros (druid, auto target or whatnot) and move any voting gumps to the side of the screen. Just because they're... 'antisocial' (for the lack of a better word) doesn't mean they're AFK. Still, ...

Re: how does hit lower defense work exactly? ty
It all depends on where (or rather - what) you hunt. For 99% of monsters you don't need HLL since you can heal with bandies just fine. But if you're one to enjoy the end-game content with mobs and bosses using mortal strike - HLL can be a life saver. Unless you use curse weapon, which has a 50 HLL. ...

Re: how does hit lower defense work exactly? ty
Yes, it works with specials, just like any other weapon hits. Not sure on how exactly it works with double strike/shot, but I'd assume the chance to go off is rolled for each hit separately (as it is with hit spells)

Re: how does hit lower defense work exactly? ty
HLD is a % chance to lower the monster Defense chance increase (it can be negative, most monsters have 0 DCI) by 25% for 8 seconds. This makes a monster easier to hit, but since the to-hit calculations are quite complex, it does not translate into a flat +25% to hit. For example you have 100 swords,...

Re: My first Yumi leveling..
HLL is debatable, depending on what you fight. Some monsters (most notably the ones introduced by +V's storyline in Umbris, Sgail) use the special Mortal Strike (or something equivalent) that renders normal healing (bandies, spells) impossible for a few seconds. HLL is the only way to regain health ...

Re: My first Yumi leveling..
I'd agree with Gaara (again!) - the Yumi may not be uber (it'd need to be 46's or 58's for that), but it's good enough to keep as a late game weapon. The few points you get for placing stats on it will probably not matter very much (and not at all in the long run) - there are other ways to bump stat...

Re: My first Yumi leveling..
I'll basically quote myself from few topics down: (regarding difference between a weapon with either 60/60 hits or 40/40/40) DPS wise it's mostly the same - damage for lightning is 30-34, fireball 12-32 and harm is 23-29. But since harm is cold damage, it might be better to spread damage across type...

Re: My first Yumi leveling..
I'd agree with Gaara - the best things that you can put on your weapons are ones that increase your damage output. That is Hit spells (lightning, FB/harm, magic arrow - in order of desirability), hit areas for WW weapons, Life Leech (for mortal strike and such) and Mana Leech (for Specials). HLA is ...
