Selling Crypt key ok or not.

I would like peoples opinions please. Tonight I spent 45 mins farming one of the monsters in Bedlam to get the crypt key. After successfully getting it I said in chat "Selling Bedlam Crypt key get it whilst it still works, Pm with offers" A player then said "That is BS don't buy it that's, Illegal and you can get in trouble for it. People can get it for free". I've pointed out that any item in game can be gotten for free if you put your time into it and that i'd spent time to farm it so therefore I should be allowed to sell it. It's not like I was selling Spellkeys or Seafarers Chests. I put time and effort into getting this key. Some players don't have the time to get it but would still like the opportunity to go to the crypt and farm the GOC pieces that are found within. In your opinion does this make me a bad person? I pride myself on being fare and honest. Please give me your views so I can change my ways if I am wrong.

yeah i understand what your saying. i dont understand why he would say that is "illegal".
maybe if you were trying to sell an un-useable key. but doesnt it disappear after the 15min is up?
i think what you did is perfectly ok, that doesnt make you a bad person. as long as your not waitig to sell at the last second. cause that would basically be scamming someone. and i know that is illegal.

I agree i see nothing wrong with selling this key i see it like the others have said as long as its not right before it goes away i say go for it. Some people dont have the time or want to take the time to farm for keys ex. travesty, dreadhorn, so they buy them just like im sure some would buy this key if caught at the right time. Not sure why this person would call you out but they are the one who is in the wrong and needs to re evaluate what happened.

i was the person who called him out i event told him to use my name. first and for most its an item that you can farm very easy yes it might take a few min to get but other times it could take 1 kill. yes i get fact that some ppl want to save some time hell im in that boat myself i would like to do that too but i think that if ppl do that they should also state that its a very easy farmable item.
and to be honest its just like the spell caster keys i understand if your getting them and selling them with things with them on it but if you sell them jsut to sell them empty your taking advantage of ppl, most of which would be noods and that in my book is BS. i get that some ppl are jsut lazy but why??

i guess i see it totaly different as i farm and craft and kill all my own things. there are very few things that i pay for in the game. a few top end GoC, arrows, potions, and pets. to be honest i could do with out the kegs and arrows and top end GoC but hay that would totaly wipe the whole buying world.

i get sales of things i do but i jsut dont see everything being sold all the time.

I dont see how this is possible the keys are on the ground next to a public moongate, the crypt key is a drop on a mob near a one shotter in a harder area for newer players ive farmed for it more then once and its never been a quick get. If you sell it to this player then can just steath into the crypt. Dont see how those compare, just because you dont buy stuff like this doesnt make it wrong, and by calling out someone like you did you might have given the wrong impression to a new player or even someone who might not know bear very well, he is very nice and very respectful from what i have seen.

I personally would never buy it because the person selling it would have entered the crypt and killed Malachai so if i get in I have to sit idle for 30mins-an hour or so before i can kill him... in that time i could get myself a key as well as hunt out another GoC area etc... the key is essentially for the Jade Amulet and if you get the key off someone who's killed Malachai it is pretty much worthless. If i were sampling it would be a different story....

I agree that would be an evil thing to do. Something I would never consider. After the put down I decided against selling it and gave it to my guild mate Alexjones who then went in and got the Jade on his first attempt which was great for him.

I personally hate trying to get that key, and to me it would be worth 25k to be let in there, even if Malachai is gone. That would be of course, if I was in the mood to go down there.

Some people seem to think they are the rules fairy for the shard. Sleep Easy Bearman. Its no different than anything else on the shard. I can get an acid proof rope for free(If I dont mind dying several times and whining until a guildmate comes helps me.etc) If someone offers one at a price that is reasonable to me I will buy it. Dont worry about what one person decides you can or cannot do.

Considering that I'm about 25 kills deep on Mikael without a key, I'm all for allowing people to sell the key.

People sell Travesty key sets and Dreadhorn summoning items, tis no difference here. It's an item, you can sell it.

Thanks Johnny, I love it when ppl call me a lair. He needlessly flamed the OP about the crypt key and admitted it, why is it so hard to believe he flamed another? If it’s such a big deal to you, then check the portal for the daily [c logs, as its all recorded.
