hehehe deedra you guessed it. donate what 135 usd's for 1100 eds. keep 100 for yourself and sell the rest at 40k each (i'm sure they will go fast) bam 40 mil. lol but you get to the point where you have too much gold and nothing to buy.

ps... i messed up my 1st 21 days too. didn't knew about the rat quest but no exex and didn't know the value of organics. + i didn't know about the newbie champ :(

What is wrong with that? Unless you are Anarchy and can donate then start putting the time to make more gold. No offence but it's not a race to become uber, and even if you are at that level then there's nothing left for you to do except hoard more gold or just bank sitting.

Making gold is not hard if you have the time to grind it. If you are over 220 dex then you are in a much better position than the new players, because you can do the hard spawns. For example, it takes me less than 30 secs to kill a balron, but a new players needs 1 minute or more with pets and that is if they do not need to rez or heal em. For 1 balron that they kill I can do 3 balrons and move on.

Now, if you want to make gold in great scale just go to umbris camp and laby. I make 500K in 1 hour killing non-stop. If you don't have the gear to survive then keep working until you get to that level. Again.. it's not a race to be uber.

The economy as it is, is all created by players. The faster they unload their stuff "making a quick buck" the faster they think they can get ED's for relayers or whatnot. Well, now they are selling and under cutting everbody else but ED's has gone up. So now they have to sell more stuff to be able to afford the ED's. I guess that's a big fail.

Good luck out there!

I think +Nyx hit it on the head, and i hinted at it in my post about the economy. The issue is that we have a ton of stuff that we just stockpile, and has no long term use. I believe we need more ITEM SINKS (which in turn could be gold sinks), to remove stuff from the economy. As you do this, prices will naturally go up as things become rarer. As it is, i have some 150+ 110 powerscrolls in my bag i think, and not a ton to use em on. I had planned on saving them to turn into 120's, but that takes time. How many 110's do you have sitting around collecting dust?

These things *do* have value, and can be used in a PS bag for instance. However, if the 120 isn't selling for any decent amount, there is little incentive to purchase and remove the 110s to acquire that 120. The more champs people do, the more powerscrolls we invite into the game, and not many are removed. One person needs 1 powerscroll to max a skill, yet we have how many coming in on a daily basis? How many going out? I know some people do use them in PS bags, and i'm sure each person's strategy is not the same, but how many players without powerscroll bags have 110s and 115s sitting around in bags, in their house, on their vendors trying desperately to make some cash with em, and not being able to?

New players should be able to jump into things fairly quickly, but not max out for a long long time. I think that is the ultimate goal of any long term game. To retain players, they need to be able to do the things they want in a reasonable length of time, and to keep them around, the same applies.

This is exactly the point Im trying to get across, because the prices of items are dropping I dont feel the amount of time it takes to save up for ED's is reasonable.

Well thats kinda backwards as IM trying to get the gold to buy ED's ;-)

I also didnt spend any time when I started doing the rat quest, or newbie champs. Didnt know about the first or enough about the second to do em. Heres another example, organics sold for 150 each when I started, they are down to 90 now.
