I have a question for our fellow bio-engineers out there.
The wiki states that the stronger a creature is, the harder it is to sample.
I was wondering if the difficulty to sample a creature is based on the stat sampled or his general strength.
In other words, would it be harder to sample for environmental DNA a creature with 1000 hp in comparison to the same creature with only 100 hp ?
Also, is it possible to use ointments on bio pet ?
Thanks,
Mauris
Bio-engineering question
Re: Bio-engineering question
you an use ointments on bio's. + i think what they mean is let's say your sampling mental and you want max mana/intel a monster with 200 hps but has max 5k mana and 2k intel than a monster with 5k hps and 1 intel and 1 mana. it depends on what you are trying to sample. but all sampling is determined by how much luck you have. i'm not sure what the min requirements are...sorry. also, i'm part of an organization called BETA (bio-engineering trust association). long time ago people were selling bio's around 10 mil+ and well i like to keep things afford-able for everyone. so i rounded up all the bio-engineers and determined a proper price, which is voted by all of us. it keeps the competition down, and makes the market open and fair for all the bio-engineers. we have strict guidelines for buying organics, and all bio's are maxed even the resist. bad bio gives us a bad name. we also, have the right to keep information from each other. for example, what we sample. it gives each bio-engineer an edge of profitability from each other. so asking people what they sample really will not get you an answer. another rule we follow is.... we don't sell individual samples. it's that simple to be a BETA.
Re: Bio-engineering question
Thanks for your answers.
Is the difficulty still affected by the properties that are not sampled (e.g. High Dex when sampling for Prowess) ?
I understand that this info could be well-guarded since obtaining it is a costly process, so feel free to answer "Try it yourself"
.
Thanks,

I feel like there's a word missing so I don't understand the point you are trying to make.anarchy wrote:i think what they mean is let's say your sampling mental and you want max mana/intel a monster with 200 hps but has max 5k mana and 2k intel than a monster with 5k hps and 1 intel and 1 mana.
So the difficulty of sampling a creature will not be the same for each sample types (Prowess, Mental, Environment, Mimic) ?anarchy wrote: it depends on what you are trying to sample.

Re: Bio-engineering question
The answer would probably be "we don't know all the variables". Only one who could probably answer that is +Coli, since none of the players have access to the exact calculations. All you can get are (educated) guesses.

Re: Bio-engineering question
An educated guess would already be a good start
