Hi everyone

I have joined Excelsior today in the hopes of reliving past UO grandeur Started playing WoW almost 8 years ago, and I am now looking to have fun again in UO. My name is Johan and I am from South Africa. I saw that this realm is mature, friendly and been running for a few years now, exactly what I was looking for.

I am really looking forward to this. I do remember a bit of UO and have already started. Back then I played a Ranger. So I had archery and taming as my main skills.

I hope someone could help me a little bit with resources like arrows. Also, would love few tips / suggestions. I started my toon with:

30 Taming
30 Animal Lore
40 Archery

I was curious to know, which skill is the slowest? I almost think it's taming? Should I have started taming at 40 or 50 even perhaps? Also, how hard is Archery to level and to come by arrows? Oh and I would also like to know where does one set the option to see every 0.1 skill gain?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm in court this morning, and then I have to pick up the kids quickly from school and day care.

I will try drop you a line on skype today round about 13:30 our time just send a PM (private message) in game to me with your details... you do this by typing [pm <persons name> so to send me a pm in game it would be [pm odin hammersmith hit enter and a menu will pop up for you to type your message to me - easy peasy lemon squeasy . In the mean time you can read through the Wiki and the Codex - there is a wealth on information in there and covers everything in game.

Be careful of Alex... he enjoys playing and riding Polar Bears in game... I personally think he didn't have enough "fluffy" toys when he was young *kekeke* oh and ALWAYS carry spare bandages, like me I am always running around healing and rezzing Vets (veteran players) they'll always deny this *chuckle*.

As for the Pink... indeed been the same as it was when I Gm'd on TFR - it IS the new black *chuckle* *wink*.

The vast majority of players are US based with the rest coming from Western and Central Europe, a couple of us from Africa and the rest from the East - so its a smorgasboard of players and time zones, you'll get used to it.

As always have fun and as J and I used to say remember its a privilege and not a right to play on a FREE server.
