What are these phases you talk about? So you are telling me the ONLY route you should go in this game is 220 dex? So getting pets, enjoying upgrading to mules/nobles then to imps, PLAYING ULTIMA ONLINE and not saying "Can I get that auto healer script" is the only thing you plan to do? I mean yeah 220 dex has it's fun, but so did before having it with pets and working your way up. How long have you been here? How long before you got your first re-layer? I was here 1.5 years before I even thought about my first re-layer. And in the long run 16 extra dex helps a little. All I still see is being upset you cannot obtain without purchasing, over actually wanting to play this game.

I'm really not sure why we keep hearing this "they'll wear that cloak and make other relayers instead of replacing it immediately". . . So what? That's kinda great. Making an item someone will only wear for a smidgen amount of time is silly, then the griping would be "this item is useless it's only worth wearing for a week until you get something better" (which is the problem with a whole lot of other items in the game). Who cares if someone wears the cloak as long as they dang well please? That's part of what makes the game nice, having so many options.

Also the idea that buying one of these cloaks from a new player is cruel is pretty silly too. Lots of players are more gold-minded than gear-minded. If you feel worried, just make sure the younger player understands they can only get 1 of those cloaks ever, and that it's a nice item. Pay a fair price for it, and be on your way. Not everyone wants to rush to 220 dex, not everyone will want the cloak regardless of it being nice or not. Some people will just want the gold, so they can build their dream house or buy their first imp or whatever else it is that motivates and excites them. Again, that's part of the beauty of UO.

My last opinion will be my last on it, i think it would be great if you could find a way that everyone can obtain it through a quest/purchase/item combine whatever means it is, because it is a great piece(s) of gear, as i said it is impossible for everybody to have it the way it is now, no its not the only way dramoor just the way that 99% of people go, why are you so opposed to the idea of everyone having one? I like pariah wil lalso take what you have said/say as your final word and not continue on with this thread, the fact that you said you would consider (not neccesarily do) one of the suggestions is good enough for me, thank you for your consideration and all that you do

just for the record, i now have the cloak of mist, i payed a hefty sum for it, and i still support any changes that would make it possible for everyone to own one (which would mean some of my money might have been wasted) - i already thanked you for considering it, just wanted to update my status and hope that everyone believes me that it isnt just about me getting the cloak

i bought one because its a great piece of equipment, the very nice person that i bought it from now doesnt have it though and the only way he can obtain it is to buy it from another person who then in turn wont have one, i understand if this is how it was meant to be, i voiced my opinion, it was considered, which is good enough for me please pm me in game
