Provoking

I followed the WIKI for this but it dosent seem 100% corect. Its sais giant beatles will get me to 95. I was using the boat method and for 8 hours it did not move past 87.5

So my question is if anyone else has gmed and higher and how they did it past 85?

I had problems with this too. I didn't find wiki very accurate here

Things that matter:
GM instruments -> increased success chance -> need to find harder things to train on. (buy instruments from npc for training)
120 Music -> bonus to success chance -> need to find harder things to train on.

Things I've done:
Provoking Hiyru and Lesser Hiyru -> near some portal on Tokouno (forget which, can lure them to lake and use boat) -> also during tokuno champ.
Provoking balrons against blood elementals and deamons in blood dungeon (this is most fun)
Provoking devourer of souls in doom -> think this gives gains, can't remember
Provoking lich lords and those green zombies at doom champ. lots get stuck on the east of the building so can go there any time and usually find some.

I've heard that provoking the dryads around lady Mel is good. but have never tried that.

That is what I used to get to 120. There always seems to be a nice supply of them to provoke, plus the benefits of ointments and stat pots doesn't hurt by training there as well.

New to this shard...could you elaborate on this a bit? What kind of vendors? What skill level provoke can you start doing this at? Just provoke random npc vendors on each other?
