Lucky Luck - What does it do?

I have looted almost 10 4x58 weapons, several 5x46 and more dual +8 stat rings than I care to think about. NOT A SINGLE ONE FROM A PEERLESS

I also took off some luck gear because as soon as I broke 2,000 I noticed a reversal of the luck benefit. 1600 has been a good lucky number for me

It is also possible that luck plays more of a role in some shard areas and nothing in others

a few years ago sunbg told me that there was a much lower sweet spot for luck that gave better drops than 7200 luck but he didn't share what the magic number was. im usually a skeptic about stuff like this but sunbg used to get a lot of really nice drops using his system.

I may not have the best memory, but I am also not an idiot. I remember when they rejigged the loot tables (around 2010) it was explicitly said that the Xx58%'s would ONLY drop from peerless now. I was very skeptical of your previous post, but now have evidence that you are full of it. What you've written here is actually not possible mate. Please stop trying to put out false information. We are trying to put together a more accurate picture of what luck does and your posts consistently muddy the water.

300-700 you will not notice anything, over 1,000 you should notice if you kill for long enough and actually 'look' at the loot without auto loot parameters set

Get over 1600 and you will notice. You will get a lot of +8 stat rings, a few +6-7 dual rings, random +8 dual rings, a few triple stat rings from time to time (but usually just on peerless). 3x12+ resist weapons drop more frequently and 1/2 decent weapons drop as well.

If you are into LRC - (lower reagent cost) you will get a lot of equipment with that as well.

I have noticed this when killing regular stuff in citadel. When I run with my 2800 luck gear I get better loot than when I run with my 220 dex gear. I look for both stuff to level and stuff to donate. At the end of a few hours I come back with more stuff I deemed worth keeping.

I've been told it does not apply to boss mobs, gauntlet arties, etc. and have no evidence to suggest otherwise.

Interesting! After reading this I did some hunting with a bit more luck than usual (about 1250 rather than 700) and I'm sure I saw slightly better stats in looted stuff. 2800 is a lot of luck! I'm now trying to figure out the best luck suit that can be built without oodles of EDs. Do you have a lot from adding luck to stuff with deeds? I can't see how I can raise it much more than 1500 otherwise.

I put 400 luck on my relayers. Here's what I came up with for non-ED luck:

I'm wearing 1950 luck. I won't add any to my stuff until there is a proven use for it. I seem to do okay with what I have, nothing crazy. I've had quite a few decent weapons looted, but nothing I am willing to use as end-game yet. Quite a few 3x46, a few 4x46, and a couple of 2-3x58. The 58s are very elusive. I'm holding out hope to find the good one some time. But as for luck, real life luck seems to play just as much of a role as in game luck.

Concerning weapons loads, source code of original server say:
- Luck does affect loot from monsters. By how much exactly it does affect loot I don't remember, but not dramatically.
- Most peerless have better loot table than simple monsters. Especially Shimmering Effusion has very high loot table.
Difficult to say for sure if it customized on this shard. But I myself got 5x58 weapon from effusion recently.

My luck is 600 and I got a 4 x 58 to drop the other day. It either has 0 impact on loot drops or I got even luckier then I thought.

My luck is 1615 and I haven't had a good loot drop in maybe a year so I don't know either my real life luck sucks or just game luck does. Have 3000+ suit I'll try out later today and post how well it works ( or doesnt).

If we didn't cover it yet, Luck does have a factor with treasure maps being inside of a treasure box you dig up. More luck gives a better chance to find that map for the next level inside of a chest.

Only tested between 0-1000 luck so far because I've yet to invest a millionbillionz into luck gear yet =D

Casino gave me a
Lady Luck Sash with 32 luck / Physical Resist 1%.
Lady Luck Robe with 106 luck / Physical Resist 3%.

I presume values on these items are variable.

That is correct. It seems to be much better on the Fel side than on Trammel, but with 7200, I get a map 7 out of 10 on Fel.
