If you don't have any relayers, I might suggest getting 2 cheaper relayers now. Blazes of death are easy to level and not too expensive, there are other weapons that offer small bonuses saving you a few points.

Unless you are willing to donate quite substantially to the server, the quest to become fully relayered will take you quite some time. If you get 2 cheaper relayers 1st you will have a noticable boost in stat regen and overall survivability. You will also get 2 relayers for the price of 1 relayered BC.

Later you can always sell the BoD relayers for cost.

There are a number of things that can hit hard. Some things can hit for 200-250 AND strike you essentially with a double shot (the hits are so close together auto-heal hasn't even kicked in yet) resulting in death. There are a handful of things that will 1 shot you even if you have 800 hit points...

Cezzar, Im going to be honest with you. You need to take things in a more relaxed manner hahaha

Most important thing for now is: Whatever the weapon you are going to relayer, always avoid over capping things. Lets say you have armour set 70 at all resistances, you don't need to relayer a cape/shirt/belt etc with resistances. You should get those points in other things. The road to full relayer is long one (if you don't do much donating) so you should focus on boosting what ever you can, whenever you can. The most important part is the stats the rest of the points you can use them on what suits you. Avoid spending on luck or self repair, that would be waste.

On the part of the arties to use, SOPs are not a bad choice, they have luck which depending on what you do with your game may be useful. You can also look for artifacts that already have a few bonus like stats or resists. Sometimes you may come across a looted weapon with resists an other bonus so don't worry and don't overplan things.

Even more important: have a spreadsheet with all your gear information, You already know were you're headed but you need to keep track on what's going on now with your gear. If you keep all things noted that you will know where to spend points.
-Don't forget that there are arties for all body parts so you may want to keep a good balance on what you have/could have and what part of your gear should be changed if you have it very planed like this and get some arties you will over cap some things and waste points.

The spell Protection lowers FC by 2. You cannot go over the cap to compensate

Does protection really lower faster cast by two? I didn't know that I just know it lowered physical resist (a good thing in my book)

it also lowers resisting spells by i think 30 points. well worth it for people that depend on pets and need to keep them healed.

It means that you don't get interrupted when casting. If you want to heal your pets with touch on life while you''re getting hit due to multiple enemies you can still heal them quickly.

I also use protection in places like sgail where you might need to use touch of life if you get mortally wounded or if you need to use divine fury to replenish stamina.

I use protection most of the time because spells cant be interrupted by a hit, it lets me cast devin fury in wrong and bucks den felc when surrounded by mobs and out of stam.... when I don't use it I have had times I have to shut off my heal macro so I can die since Im trapped in the mob and just healing but can't move. Also has the side benefit of lowering physical resists so I can do more RPD.
