*Shrug*, this may be total not doable, but here is the information.

In Everquest, they ended up makeing a single room for "Sellers" and "Buyers". In a way I do not see much difference between that and the [exex command. At the end of the day, the [exex command is a means to allow anyone to sell and anyone to buy. One big difference with [exex is that you have information to the Highest Buy price and the Lowest Sell Price, nothing about quantity or anyone else in that list.

What I would say ... would be nice(?) is to do as EQ did for the Buy side, offer an item search (drop down list) of *caugh* all the items *looks uncomfortable* in the game so one can select that item, enter the "Buy" price and the Quantity. This allows anyone to enter a "Wish to Buy" item.

For what it is worth, I really like the [exex command and would really like to see it enhanced to ... have more items be able to be sold / bought.

Im new to the shard, but something i found to be the bane of my Excelsior existence is that there is no gumps for the cleric or druid spells. I bought the druid spell book for this sole purpose. It seems like it would be a total pain to have to open the book and select the spell any time i wanted to use one.

Thanks for the suggestion, and i probly will do that. But im not a big fan of hot keys...Wouldnt be awesome to maybe have a contest for people to make the actual art of the spells?! And then have fancy player made icons?!...Just throwing it out there.

some things on my shard wish list:

heavier penalties for afk resource gathering or afk weapon leveling, and mutliclienting.

1st offense: take away keys and weapon, and then put them in the grand auction. hehehe you can buy back your stuff (also a gold sink). lol.

2nd offense: deletion of account.

muti-clienting:
1st offense: deletion of accounts.

i did a test run of things. did you know it takes you longer to get out of your chair in a hurry, than it is to hit alt-f4.

my definition of afk--- you can not see your game. either the screen is minimized or your just not there.

Deletion of account on 2nd infraction is in my opinion too hard of a punishment. Remember Anarchy - the goal here is to make people stop doing it, not drive players away since I really doubt someone would make a new account after losing the one they spend months on pimpin'. I'd reserve the deletion for the hardcore repeated offenders (like 5th offence or even further). Deleting items/gold/anything of value - that's free game though. Heck, throw a 10mill or 50mill penalty on an offender. Give him a week (or 2) to come up with the given amount and if he doesnt have the gold then delete (or auction off) anything up to the required amount - tokens, EDs, houses, relayers. If you're bored enough to be cheating, then you probably have too much stuff. ;)

PS. Anarchy - In RL you don't give death sentence to someone who stole a car twice, do you? Even if it were expensive cars. ;)

Jupiter - yes, AFK training is legal for most skills. Mining, Fishing and LJ the hard way are not legal to AFK train for obvious reasons. Not sure about Alchemy, I'd assume it's illegal to AFK as well now.

Anarchy - kinda logical, that cutting of hands. Hard to steal a car if you don't have hands to open or drive it. ;)

My take / understanding on the Macroing ...

Macro anything you darn well can and want to, if it is going to make you gold directly vs 2nd hand (and I am absolutely sure there will be disagreement with the Powers that be Powers here), then AFK is ok.

Why the Powers that be Powers will be in disagreement with the above is because they are not going to try to determine "intent" of mining, LJacking, Fishing etc. So in draconian fashion they will call those activities, "Directly Profiting" from the activity and as such they will hand out the harsh punishment.

We are all more or less, responsible adults here and we all should have a VERY GOOD understanding of the "Spirit" of what the Powers that be Powers are implementing here. There should be VERY LITTLE reason to try to be cute with them, to think we are smarter than the average bear and therefor above the law.

On the other hand, if I go AFK macro mineing 40K Ingots to GM Blacksmithing, did I really violate the "Spirit" of the law? Probably not, but then again, I WOULD NOT presume the Powers that be Powers to have MIND READING abilities. SO accepting that reality, the choice to mine the 40K ingots will, in my case be a BIG NO THANK YOU.

If anyone chooses otherwise and wants to start offering up excuses, whine etc. then do NOT be surprised if there is no sympathetic ear hear listening to you. Your excuses will fall on deaf ears.

Hello, I started this separated topic for AFK, and tried to summarize the ideas so far for this thread.

Can we continue AFK discussion in the proper topic?
