Server connection totally collapsed around 3:40am (server time), while i was in the middle of a boss run at halloween dungeon.
I am deeply concerned because i had several valuable itens that weren't blessed or secured, such as relayers, piece of gear, weapons, full t-map books, keys... And it is like, oh my god, i'm so desperate...by the time the server get on again, i won't be able even to recover my lost body from the recover stone... almost everything i was carrying have will have poofed, and i cannot even express how sad and worried i am... specially because if i need to raise a ticket to ask +C to recover my body with all those itens inside, he would probably take a long time to reply and i won't be able to play anymore for a really long time... that is profundly sad and disturbing for me.

So i beg +C to see this appeal and try to help me recovering it...

Or even, ask to him if there is any chance that there is a revert to a state before the big crash...?

That may be so determinant for me from now on, and i hope that maybe its not just me who suffered at this level with this event, and who also does can perhaps share here the same worry due to such terrible damage...

The server may well revert. It may not. What I don't understand is why you would walk into a high risk area, on a shaky/unstable server with so many high end items exposed?

There are numerous fail-safes in place to prevent this type of thing. Bless deeds: You have millions of tokens. Item Insurance: you make millions of gold every day. Various Bags of Holding: you've sold many in the past and may or may not currently own one or more. Item Recovery system: 100eds per item, of which you have thousands.

I can't fathom how you can know exactly what it exposed and yet never have taken a single step to prevent this? It seems either careless, lazy, or cheap on your behalf. I don't know why +C should have to give special treatment when there are so many fail-safes already available to us as players. He's working on getting the server straightened out, thousands of tickets, and numerous other things no doubt.

I hope your items aren't gone, most likely they're fine. And sorry to sound uncaring, but this type of thing is completely preventable, especially to a veteran player who should know better.

I am also worried. I was going to take care of my bees and haven't been able to take care of them. Who will reimburse me for my lost honey and wax?
For the death of thousands of bees and their wellbeing?

I hope this gets fixed soon. Thousands of Balrons have escaped justice due the the fact I will not be adventuring anywhere with the lag spikes and disconnects.

I am also very worried as i disconnected on top of Bene. I don't know if i could handle losing that corpse

I just added the sigils on the eye when the server crashed, it could have been worst if I was able to activate the bosses. The server never came back since then and don't know if we able to play again today. Nothing else to do on a Sunday afternoon

I'm sure Colibri is working hard to get us online and stable. Coffee time without UO this morning was just not the same. Hang in there! I hope nobody loses anything from this. Even if it's set back for all, some will lose what they just gained. No perfect solution there. We will recover and move forward. I'm confident that Excelsior's future will be great!

Thank you for your comment. I am not trying to get any special treatment, please. Many of my main gear is blessed, but many also was not yet, was only secured, but as i was doing many Bene runs, the secure was lost because in those runs you have to die over and over to kill the wolfs with RPD, so yes that was a sad lapse of me. But even so, many important itens that will be lost can't even be secured or blessed.

Of course i knew the shard connection was unstable... but, as many other players, i kept playing because even with the lag spikes and small crashs the shard quickly returned after... now this total collapse, this was really hard to predict... i woldn't imagine that this could happen...

i understand your guys concerns, but you also know +c always tries his best to look after us, my guess is, there will be a reset, and Halloween will be extended for a few days to make up for lost time. Also, from personal experience with server issues, +C was there and made it right for me. don't panic, be patient and it will all work out

I know, right? I had ten billion uninsured ED in my backpack while fighting Kronos solo when the server packed up. Fortunately, I remembered to [backup just like +C told us to do, so I'm confident I'll be okay.

I backed up after noticing that time was lost during the last couple crashes. If that's the case Deckard you may log in and not even be at the boss yet.

I know that the 2nd to last crash I disconnected near mistas while not on my mount and when the server came back up I was in cove on my mount. I dropped an escort there before I went to mistas.

Lol @ 10 billion uninsured ED.. you should retire to a nice home in the tropics.. hell, just buy the land surrounding Phuket and the beaches and town itself. @ $1 an ED

Wil, I did that at the time, but it was many weeks ago... I guess i should have the habit of doing it regularly... =( I honestly didn't even think about that, in the last days

It's all good around here, after all. when i logged back i wasn't inside the boss room anymore, but at another spot i was earlier, probably at the last world save... that was really scary. thank you
