Any benifit to beast bio?

So I have been thinking about getting myself a bio pet for a while now. I like that beast bios can be any of the creatures in the game. That is the main appeal of them to me, but I also know they can not equip weapons/armor like the human bio can.
So my questions would be; how much worse are the beast bios when compared to the human bio? Are they any cheaper than the human bio or is it still going to run me 7-8mil?

i dont have any answers for ya, but if you were going to get a beast bio i would think about these :
poison resistant
succubus's/neotpirs - area life leach
ice giants area freeze
wyrms with insane fire breath
any other significant special moves on beasts?

If anything, beast bios are underpowered compared to humans. Humans can use bandgaes and also carry equipment which will use the mods on the equipment ie Dex, str bonuses stamina regen etc.
The only advantage is that beast bios can have 75 for all resists as opposed to the 70 on humans. More often than not these have to be ointed to get to max, as sampling stats for bios mean lower resists. Another benefit of humans is that you can use armor to compensate for this.
Having said that, I only make beast bios these days. Purely for the status symbol of walking around with a reaper or a serpentine dragon which look cool. (I am selling these as well

I have made a ton of bio pets, beasts and humans. I agree the humans have a few advantages based on equipment but I found then to be glitched. When I equipped them with a suit of GOC armor, it disappeared and was never recovered...also lots of problems with resists resetting to zero...so anyway I am not fond of the humans
The advantage to beast bios is the added resists and the fact you dont have to recover the equipment or re-equip the bio in dangerous places or when u die! There is nothing worse than standing in the ice dragon cave solo with 2 dead human bios to have to recover priceless equipment fast...lol
I love making rare beast bios for the same reason as the last post...no one has em
I made a several minotaurs, scorp, serpintine dragon, demon, gazer, skeletal dragon, etc...but the really cool ones were getting the boss dna. I made a harrower, Slaarion, Dr Apocalipse's lost love and a lord oaks. The actual used of any bio was not as fun as the experience of making one. Dont buy one, make it yourself...Thats the fun part of the bio pets

hm... fyi: beast bios do not get specials like area life leech. (i wish!!) would be really cool imo. i like human bio's because of the fact that they can wear armor. yeah kind of tiring re-equipping armor, but that out weighs the possibilities of a life leech weapon (bio's use stamina for their mana when doing specials). the extra resist is nice on beasts though, but can a beast mount a pet? if you went with a human and had it mount a noble/mule; it would be like having 2 in 1 pets with just a command to split the two (very neat).
wish they made mountable bio's that also would be really cool. ah well, if was a wish we'd all be rich. right?

riding mount for beast bios i think it is imposible because Human/elf chars had ride animation internally on client, if any other spec putted on mount it will just stand midlle of them. Sometimes occurs when you turn frog when leaving hearthwood with mount.

I think they were meaning they wanted some of the beast bio to be mountable for a player to ride.

What would be the benefit of a mountable bio? You could just use an ethy mount for yourself and put your human bio on a cu. A while back there was a player that had a rideable demon. It looked like he was being carried around. Thinking back, it was kinda silly. Now personally I switch between beast and human or sometimes use both at once depending on what and where i'm hunting. You really have to try each and figure out which one works best for you. And like Electra said, make your own. Oddly enough though my demon bio says "bio engineered by Electra" and sounds like a chicken when it attacks. My human I did myself though.

I would imagine a couple would be to dramatically increase the bio's run speed and to quickly hop on it and run off if its close to death. ^^

Yeah I think Harabakc bought that in an auction - it was an ethy mount, actually. Wish I had one...
Edit: Btw Electra, that bug with equipping Blessed items (and others) on human bios was fixed a looong time ago.

still think the rideable spider is best for that "I own the road" effect. The rideable demon seems to be more for a fancy lad that must be pampered. Now if the demon could fight will holding you that would be a different story.

Is it possible to make a ridable giant spider bio? If so, when sampling for DNA will the pet die? This coud be very interesting, a bio ridable giant spider would take 2 pet slot i imagine! Im getting goosebump thinking of it.
I WANT ONE!
I have the spider to try it out!
Anyone willing to try?
How much would it cost?

Yeah you could make it and it would be 3 slots but it wouldnt be rideable. The other problem is sampling specials are RL luck based so you might have to sample it every week for 3 months to get decent specials.....

I will have to agree... Beast bio's are seriously under powered there cool cause of the looks and the resist bonus isnt that great either.... As for what electra said resists being at 0 i posted on that and the reason for that is cause you sampled a Male Mimic witch are still for some reason are still Glitched when you make them they start with 0 in all resists but can still get up there with the right armor also Ointments can be used for resists on Beast and Human bios. But in my opinion enless you just want something that looks cool following you or a Lantern (Wisp Bio) i wouldnt waste the money id just buy a Human Bio.... ooo and FYI i got lots in stock hehe
