Ok earlier today, I was accused of "taking other peoples gold" at the end of a champ via scavenger. Now as I read the change log it works like this.

CHANGE Champions will split the gold and lay it in stacks around each player. Only that player can pick up the stack (though as soon as it's lifted, it will un-bind from that player and will become pickable by any other player). Is this true? If it works like that then running in a circle at the end of a champ will only allow you to pick up what you have coming? I tend to run around and check as many dead monsters as I can before they poof also. No point in letting gold vanish.

While I offered to give the person that accused me part of the gold I picked up they suddenly vanished.

So either it works as change log states and its a no-brainer or we go back to splitting gold. Its not like I need the gold from the champs in the first place but its the principal of the thing, I don't like to waste things and I don't like nasty accusations. So I am posting here to see if they were wrong or they were right and I was actually getting more than my share?

My understanding is, the only way you can get someone else's gold, is if they pick it up, and put it back down again. (or can't carry it due to weight, and it drops back down again).

Don't worry about it Highroller, there seems to be no end to gripes at champs for some reason.

Thats why I dont even bother with champs anymore..Its just not worth all the headaches.

razor is lame with scav to pick up gold when a champ ends, it lags for a bit, can't move anything.
much easier to shift-drag it all together.

This is just because it tries to pick up all the stacks, including the ones you can't actually move.

So the only way I could have picked up somebody else's gold is if they were silly enough to pick it up and put it back on the ground. I fail to see a practical reason why anyone would want to do that. Pack mules are real cheap. They can always wait until the gold goes on the ground, unshrink a pack mule and pick up the gold and put it in the packy's pack. A packy can hold all the gold from a whole champ.

I suppose next people will be protesting because I go around after a champ and loot the dead monster bodies...

How dare you use available options (razor) suggested by shard site itself, to do something legit upon the game. Shame on you, don't you know you're supposed to be lame and leave gold all over the ground. It's not like the people have the SAME CHANCE to get the stuff... I mean how could you play the game in the most legit manor possible... you make me sick... lol jk jk people need to learn how to use a macro or don't use 'em at all.. bleh. I personally am getting tired of the trolling about this subject along with many others.. it's becoming annoying.. FAST! That's IMO tho.. so whatever that counts for I suppose...

I personally find myself turning scavenger off when i champ, to the extent of if it tries to pick up all 8 stacks and cant due to bagspace, its then open to anyone else.
I like the freedom of running about looting the mobs first. nomnom. then going back to my stash of money that noone but i can touch, as my other problem right now is ill pick up 10-20k then realise i cant fit it in my bags and my mule is hiding under 3 nobles, so it drops back to the floor open for grabs :/ so ild rather collect money after most have left.

As for scavenger in general, its fine. people need to stop moaning about it since if they do re-drop their money its a mistake on their part. :/

I am another abstainee from champs.. I preferred to let others deal with those bickering holes and I just buy the scrolls I wanted..
