I bought mine off a player for 20 Mil gold, (and he only sold it to me because he is a close friend) the last one went at an auction for i believe 30 mil. There are only 3 rare mounts in the game. It's not even the gold, its the fact of even being able to get your hands on one of the rare mounts. The Reptalon, the Skeleton Dragon and the Daemon Mount. Those are about the highest status items you can get in the game. And now the reptalon is easily obtained.

When you put sitting area 3 in the deco room, a vet complained because they spent what 8 mil on it at an auction? and it was removed promptly. Now you take an item that sets those who have it apart from everyone else and ruin it.

So Disappointed.

There is a difference between that incident and this one though, time. The deco went up for sale not to long after the auction and this mount has been around for years (and even sold a few different times at auction). I do think the price is a bit low for it though, this mount is rare and the price should help keep it rare + add a new long term goal for players who want it.

50k Elven Notes has a nicer ring.

At least at this price it would keep some of the status it still has...

I would also like to see a difference between the the mounts purchased and mounts won at auction.. perhaps a different pet count or something? This way those that have it from the original source, still maintain something special above and beyond what can be paid for.

Its not so much of a complaint, as I'm just expressing my disapointment. It was nice having something that was rare and special. I realize that any item in the auction can be sold at a later date, I'm just shocked the choice would be made to do it to an item that carried such a status symbol. Deco is one thing, but a rare auction mount is something else altogether different.

It took my favorite item, into an item i don't even want now.

Sorry about that Melkor... It could as well be a veteran reward (let's say 5 years) but this elven notes option is a good idea to make elven notes a bit more desired.

I do like the general opinion (at least by two who posted so far) that it should be more expensive.

But if you look at it... if elven notes are 1.5k each, that's 30 mil for the reptalon. If demand increases, we might see elven notes at 2 or 2.5k, which is a quite high price in gold value (in the water/star/mountain house range).

Thanks +Colibri, I probably sound like a baby lol. I'm glad to see that elven notes will have more value, and its good for people to have something new to work towards. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. I'm sure I can get my gold back out the Reptalon anyways, maybe even make some gold while I'm at it.

Oh, TDC guild controlled 3 of the reptalons, we were trying to get them all on the shard.

I actually think you underestimate the number of reptalons there are out there. I bought mine in auction 3 years ago for about 6 mil and I know at the time there were at least 10 others that had them. Quite a few more have gone out at auction since then.

+C is right that this might increase the value of elven notes slightly, which in turn might increase the value of imps. +C might consider this an introductory price and increase the cost after the first 3 or 4 are sold. If however, none are actually purchased, then we'll know how much people actual value them.

I know a good number have been released, and I know they are way more common then the other 2 rare mounts. But, many account get deleted, and how many did you actually see around. not that many. But it doesn't matter now anyways.

I feel bad, I shouldn't have posted anything in the first place.
