multi accounts

did you know if you had two accounts:

you could have up to 20 house slots.
you could collect 12 bods per vendor per {inset time limit}.
could in fact lock out 12 dyes (1 guild stone per character).
you could macro by split screening 2 items.
you could put together 2 goc's per 21 days
you could camp 2 goc spots and use bracelet of binding if you get 2 of one type.
you could do 2 champs including 2 lord oaks.
you could put 1 dead character near the titan hammer, and hunt with another character.
you could put 1 dead character near a champ and use another to hunt/look for champs.
you could level 2 weapons at the same time.

there are many things i could do if i had 2 accounts.

I'm not sure the purpose from his point of view, but it is pretty informative. I hadn't actually thought it out like this. It would be very advantageous for someone to have two account, which is likely the reason that it is not allowed.

Admittedly, I am a total newb to this shard, 3 (or is it 4) days and counting, BUT ....

Why would you want to do those things?

On the other hand (hint I am looking for alternatives) having 2 accounts initially facilitate

1) Safely transferring ... things to the appropriate character, which of course is not really (after it all sinks in it is obvious that you don't need to) required as you don't really need to have more than one character per account.

2) Have a Rez'r available to bail you out, such as the scenario I was in 2 nights back in the Lost Lands, getting whacked by a frenzied to find there are no healers in the Lost Land wandering around.

Direct copy-paste from the Codex:

1. Accounting:
a. One account per person, multiple allowed per IP (for multiple people in a household).
b. Having more than one account per person is forbidden.
c. Passing items from one of your characters to another is allowed.
d. Use of another person's account is forbidden.

Dual clienting

Dual clienting is immediatelly treated as a heavy violation. Each account may be used only by the owner. There is no "I just hopped for a second on his/her account to check something" excuse. We have sophisticated methods of finding and proving this, so as long as each person only plays with his/her own account, there's nothing to worry about. When found:
1st time: All secondary accounts are immediatelly permanently banned without question. Doesn't help if it was you're relative's or friend's account, the fact that you used it makes it your secondary account. Your main account is temporarily banned for a few weeks or months, although it may also be a permanent ban. We may permanently impound any posessions that we believe were obtained using the benefit of two accounts, even with just a hunch and no proof.
2nd time: Permanent ban.

i can name 3 sets of people who have admittedly told me they 'sometimes' do this, but i'm not gonna; see rule:

then have one hidden outside of the titan hammer area and occasionally run back.

make co-owners and make a secured box for co-owners. easy transfer.

multi characters per account allows you to collect more bods. more bods means more abilities to get things like organics. easy. 1 account can have up to 6 characters. 2 accounts can have 12. big difference when looking for a specific bod.

Question is, how much can +Nyx and +Veritas do about it? +Colibri can check logs to see what characters log in from what IP, but the others can't. So unless they can find absolute evidence, they can do nothing. At least this is what I would assume.

I have limitations to what I can do as far as gathering information. However, I do have many points of access and testing methods related to this issue. I am not in the dark when it comes to what is going on with dual clienting. Also, it is not that +Nyx and I don't care or are lazy or *Insert other excuse made without any knowledge of what is going on behind the scenes here*. There are always forces at work, out of sight of the general public, that keep certain things from getting the proper attention they deserve. The people who would like to give the proper attention, sometimes cannot immediately do so.

you can watch them on 1 computer and see movements. like character 1 is afk near a champ while character 2 is running around. then go talk to 1, and if 2 suddenly stops..hm... wonder wonder. then say ok have a nice day and leave. don't bring it up to them anything. then go back to 1 and say. oh yeah 1 more thing and see if character 2 stops. if they use the left click-right click thing to run forward; they'll be bound to run into something and stop. bingo your cheating.
or
make a maze with pitfalls. anyone in suspect you have them run the gambit. if they fall or can't run through it. then again like you said they could wake up their g/f, husband, wife, or whatever and say hey get on or we're banned. maybe if we get lucky we can catch 1 or 2 peeps, THEN MAKE AN EXAMPLE. i'd post a thread with named of people banned/jailed and what offense. my personal opinoin on that. it tells the players. CHEATER, and i don't think i'd be buying much from those people. sorry rossi i told a lie to you... i've NEVER been to jail, nor do i plan to. i follow the rules. i report bugs. i don't afk weapon level. i don't muti client/accounting. there is no reason to cheat. people like to say i had an emergency...alt-f4 won't hurt you. there is insta log here even in the dungeons. not like the pk shards where you can't log out for a few moments. there is no reason to be greedy where you need to have an extra amount of gold or an extra amount of ps. nor do you need to craft things where you have to have 2 accounts. everything here gets easy, and most things are cheaper than they were awhile ago. gold is easy to get if you know how....bees (yes you can make your own pots), champing is easy. bods bring in a lot of gold if you do the right ones.

maybe i just don't understand why people need to do stupid things like cheat; especially in a video game. people like to say things like...well not everyone's as rich as you in rl, and can't afford to donate. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DONATING. if you think you need extra cash in rl. donate plasma, male bodily fluids, or an egg. did you know when i was in college i donated plasma. made 180 a month and i saved every penny. it paid for all my college books. every last one. stop with the justifications, and play the game without cheating.
