Halberd with Resists

Hi. I bought a halberd with 3 resists at 9% (phys, pois, energy). also has 30% harm and stam leech.
Leveling this would be way more effective than a cavorting club. Im not wanting to drop the necessary gold/ ED for a bone crusher, but want to begin work on another relayer (already have a great Yumi and a blaze) - so this will be clothing.
Ive leveled a Winds Edge (which i hated), but im very pleased with what I got out of it. Ill add some more resists to this, but want all the stat bonuses that come along with leveling a weapon for gear. Please let me know if this is not a good idea. I physically cannot see a reason why it would be. I understand the BC has 10 str, which i cannot achieve with this, but it has 135 bonus points already from the resists. Also, I do not plan on putting any points into phy resist because Id eventually like some SoT's.
Thanks !

Hi,
I'm pretty new at the relayer, what to level thing myself, so hopefully some experienced players will chip in also.
I dont think that particular hally is a good weapon to start leveling if it only has 3 * 9 resists, you should easily be able to pick up a 4 * 14 or even a 4 * 18, although its usually 3 * resists & 1* HCI / DCI.
Also the 30% harm and stam leech will carry to the clothing item, but become redundant.
Cleverer people, please assist.

It's not bad, but its also not great. 30$ harm and stam leech will help levelling, but add nothing to the relayer so are pretty useless. Also, you say you don't physical resist much because you plan on getting SoTs, which is fine, but makes another thing you probably won't utilize on this weapon.
I'd look for something with either A) a stat you can't get anywhere else (ie: bonecrusher), or B) Something where you gain more benefit (ie: 4x12 resist non physical), or C) Stick with the cavorting, as its benefit will be bigger to you over time.
I don't like wasting time so after my first re-layer (wind's edge also), i went all bone crushers. Now when I finish, I'm not done, because i have to go back and re-do a whole item to 100. Of course, I also made the mistake of stopping at level 80 the first time!

Thank you both for the replies!
I agree i could have found a better base weap, say a 4x12, but I searched on the vendor list for WW weaps, and this was the best I found - plus only paid 50k. Wanted to start working on another relayer. I started leveling it, and in 2 days hit level 40, maybe a couple hours each day. Hitting level 100 the easiest way (WW weap), was more important to me. I do have a cavorting club at my house, but feel it will take way more time than i have to play to level.
I do realize now the phy is a waste (with 3 sot's, i could have a looted sleeve off an orc and max out phys), so its essentailly a 2x9. Bummer... Maybe ill do the cav club next - but hope for a better in the meanwhile (or perhaps wait it out for a BC)
Bonus:
ill have 3 total relayers after this. A BC I bought of Izzaros lady, the winds edge I leveled, and this. The BC maxes out DCI and HCI, and with the combo of this and the winds edge, ill max out SSI. With this halberd, ill still be able to max all char stats, except intel, max out RPD, SDI, EP and still distribute 125 points to resists (done some math, know where to hit).
Learned some from this, but not disappointed with time and gold spent. Plus got some oints for my imps. Apprecaite the help, and if there is still any feedback, im all ears.
