Buying from vendors

Hi all,

I don't know if this has been addressed already, but would it be possible for the devs to make it so that when buying items from vendors that the gold was taken directly from the bank, either via check or gold pile. Also, would it be possible to make it so that the vendors give back the gold that is not needed when training. I say this because I made the mistake of handing the trainer 10k of gold from my newbie character as I usually do when training, and they took all of it, not just the 301g that was necessary for the just the training. I thank you for your time.

In most cases they will take the gold from your bank account unless its a very minor purchase then they seem to expect you to have the gold on you.

As to handing a trainer gold yep I expect most of us have made that mistake. I think for me it was handing it to the wrong npc trainer but its still a bad feeling.

I haven't tested it explicitly, but I believe Excelsior vendors are set up like they are on OSI production shards.

In other words, the magic number is 2,000 gold. As long as you spend that or more in one transaction, it'll come directly from your bankbox. Any less, and you must have the gold in your backpack.

I am sure you are correct. I have tested it with cloth bolts. If the total cost is under 2k then it tries to take it from your backpack, if it is over that, then it takes it from your bank

I can vouch for the magic number being 2k gold for vendors... and as far as npc trainers, why would you drop more than what they ask for on them? thats just lazy, imo.
