Roof placement

I'm having some trouble replicating a design that I've done before, many months ago on OSI. It seems that when I try to place overlapping roofs, it will delete the roof below it.

I am trying to place one more row of roofing tiles along the red line below but when I do, the row of roofing on the floor below (marked by red X's) is deleted automatically. Is this a bug of some sort?

The bottom image is what it should look like when finished.

I don't know for sure if this will work but have you tried raising the upper roof a level or lowering the lower roof a level

Yeah, I have. :(

If I start the bottom roof at 1, the bottom layer of that roof sinks into the walls so I have to start both at a height of 2. I've tried starting the top roof at a height of 3 but it still didn't work.

Or tried putting in the wall first?

Deleting the bottom row, doing the top row, then placing the bottom row?

I've tried placing the bottom roof first, then the upper roof. No luck. Tried that in reverse order with no luck. I'm guessing roof tiles cannot be placed on top of another on Excelsior, even if separated by floor.

I ran into the exact same thing when building roofs of that nature and back on OSI I had 120 in Roofmaking. Spent a few hours trying to get it to work and finally had to just flop the roof so it slanted north/south in order for it to work. =/

The room the upper roof is supposed to cover is 8x3 so anything outside of the gable-style roof is pretty much impossible. Real shame too because I've already spent 700k on the overall design.

It'd be great if we could get some input from a member of staff that handles development or someone who knows what the issue might be. I tried this design locally without any issue so it seems to be something with Excelsior only. :?

Which version of RUNUO did you use for your local try?

Excelsior uses 1.5
