I'm pretty easy going and I know I can turn my Squirrels talking off... but until I found out that I could, I was going nuts.
One of the quotes used by the Squirrels is some thing along the lines of "It doesn't matter if you win or loose, It's how drunk you get".
It's "Lose" not loose.
It reminds me of when people were file sharing Eminem's "Lose Yourself" and naming it "Loose Yourself". To loose yourself means to Excrement in your pants. I.e. Loosing your bowels. Which incidentally is how I fell about Eminem's "Music", but that's beside the point.
I know people will feel I'm nit-picking here, but improper English is one of my many pet hates.
Any chance we could get this changed? Please? To save my sanity? :verymad:

My vote would be to completely remove the talking altogether as they always seem to turn back on even when you silence them.

They reset when the server gets a reset. Like the pets get new IDs at a server reset.

+1 To removing it completely

However you can keep the one with Chuck Norris. Or just come up with only Chuck Norris lines, but find/use shorter ones. Not sure what the coding for this involves, but in another scenario it would be sweet if we could add personalized quotes to each of our pets/bios/etc for gold ofcourse (sink?), with low # of max characters, and unsavory language leading to SEVERE PUNISHMENT. The kind that would make a player quit if caught. Where as, the defense of "I didn't know" doesn't mean squat. Give fair warning and you have expressed consent, if the person can't read, well then i'm guessing there's parent supervision. I can even translate the warning for you into Spanish and German if you'd like. The foreign non English speaker variable, i have not thought of a solution yet, but come on i'm literally writing this as I think of it, so don't judge.

I wonder how long the list of potential "to do items" are on the GM's plate. Just saying, with xams quests coming up and new facet, things like this should probably be noted but not given any urgency, not saying this is just another inane wish. I also feel a bit frustrated when it turns back on, since a lot of times it happens right when you really don't need more writing on screen. jejejejejej, (chief paroxy, ice wyrm)

I +1'ed it in theory only. I don't expect it to be done with so many other things on the to do list. I wouldn't put this on the top of the list either. However its so annoying to see a player surrounded in text from their pets, I had to give it a +1.

Kinda bad at paroxy or wyrm... Please remove the talk or make it a possible permanent. (in no way urgent as they said but voting for it.)

Lol. So what u r all saying as if they make the speech permanent that would even them out more with other pets?

There was no mention of evening them out. This whole thread has been about a minor annoyance with the dog imp's text. Some less minor than others, but still minor.

Seems like that setting wasn't serialized properly. Should be an easy fix for a talented coder with a few minutes to spare :D
