As an orc in this shard I'm seriously gimped so Im going to have to be mostly in a support role as I do not have millions to spend on the best gear and have none of that relayerd arti armor. I do however have gm magery and archery at my disposal so I can try to help keep the fighters on the ground alive, healed, cured or whatever else I can do to assist them. I can also throw up walls, poison fields, para fields, and do whatever else I can to slow down the attackers.

Krothu Dont worry about what gear ya need as all you really need is courage and the will to die with your boots on! We all know you have that integrity and I would be proud to fight at your side! :) *Smacks Krothu on the back* Lets go get em bro!

very nice. krothu we do need that. you can cast poison fields and throw expots for area damage, plus you can heal. do you know any other friends that would be willing to help too?

I know several warriors that may be there either solo or with their respective guilds. No doubt it will be a hard, brutal fight but I also have no doubt we will prevail in the end.

NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER SURRENDER!

(sorry I watched galaxy quest the other day ^_^ but it seems kind of fitting to this situation)

First off, I am looking forward to this event so much! Secondly, I do not consider myself a strategist by any means and I am very new to the Excelsior Shard so if my statements are incorrect please correct me. But I have notice a flaw in some strategies I have read. That flaw being the reliance on bottlenecking the masses of approaching enemies. Am I the only one that noticed that players and NPC's can walk right through other characters without taking a hit to their stamina? That means that an infinite amount of enemies can be walking through a 1 tile "choke point" at the same time thus all of them through the choke point at the same time without being slowed. This renders choke points and bottle necks useless. This strategy would work, however, if Fel is set up not to allow 2 entities in the same tile without a stamina hit. As I said, Im new to the Shard and havent been to Fel yet.

U make a good point but I would still rather direct my enemy's movements. But slowing the umbris down will be a problem.

Haven't yet tested Fel's "shoving-out-of-the-way" system but I sure would like to see the pics on the original post. The strategies posted by the others would make a little more sense if i could see what they are referring to lol

they do but as soon as they take damage they won't be flooding in. use a halberd with area damage and you'll keep them all in place. :) but better have them stop at 1 tile then 4 right? gotta bottle neck them.

This still happening? Regardless, I propose Excelsior bringing the battle to Umbris, before they invade. Why are we sitting around?
