St. Patrick's March Quest 2015

Saint Patrick requires your aid! Speak to him in Cove.

This quest is repeatable every 4 hours and has 47 possible rewards (3 new this year - the Bodhran, Harp and Blarney stone). The rewards are on display in the building immediately to the West of the reward NPC. The rewards are the same from last year, updated for their 2015 status.

This quest will be available until April 4th.

You may NOT:
- Dock boats anywhere surrounding the island.
Any boats parked near this island during the quest will be deleted without warning or reimbursement.
- Use Bracelets of Binding in the event area.
- Use snooping, enchanted grove, stone circle, pets or volcanic eruption in the event area.
- Use hiding/stealth/invisibility in the event area.
- Exploit the event area in any way.
- Use weapon AOE (they're disabled, so you don't need to do anything to avoid this).
- Give quest items to other players, or drop them on the ground for others to pick up. It's ok to group to kill the mobs, but please don't attempt to 'hand over' quest items to someone else.

Note: Mobs are not able to enter the area around the entrance, to prevent exploiting/trolling. Mobs dragged back to the entrance area will be deleted automatically as they approach.

I'm not certain about this, but perhaps clearing the entrance point of spawn a little? I managed to complete the quest and didn't stray more than 2 screens from the gate, and that was because I was chasing the snakes down. Book 2 I managed with the gate on screen.

When I entered the first time, the gate area was fairly clear. By the time I finished the first book, somebody, or somebodies had exited and left a whole bunch close to the exit.
I am not complaining, just pointing out a possible reason for the crowd.

When you say no stealing, does that include the items that spawn on the ground? From the way the rule is worded I assumed it was from other players/monsters.

- Stealing is OK. It was worded wrong in the original post. Kill stealing is bad. lol
- Soda bread & Shepherd's pie dates have been fixed. If you received a 2014 labeled item of either of these as part of the 2015 quest, it has also been changed to reflect the current year.
- You must be 7 days account age to enter the event area.
- I'll look into the spawn range today but it sounds likely someone dragged them near the gates. The mobs will actually be removed if they enter the area inside the box marked by the sparkles, so if you get in trouble from spawns being grouped up just outside that area, you can run back.

Are we supposed to be getting a quest book after talking to st patrick at all? I have spoken to him twice saying I will help, have gotten the gump and have said sure and have gotten no instructions or quest book and do not know what it is I am supposed to be doing.

Ornias, yes, he gives you the first book. You may need to trigger him a few times.

Must be the old numbers thing. Second, or was it third, time I went in I had to scour half the island to find anything. But I did find a lot of arrows.

Does anyone else think the respawn timers need to be tweaked up a little...Makes it take longer to finish when there are so many people in the area at 1 time...Does anyone else agree?
