Speed/Ping Test For fun

Post by Efanchenko_MM »

Just thought would be a bit of fun to see whos got what!

I'm on O2 wireless 20MB broadband, goes to show you never get what you pay for, lol.

So note what speed of net you pay for as to what you get from the tests!
(Local server, the one nearest to you)

Here are mine:

Very Interesting.
But, to be an honest review of our game connection, you should change the tested servers (both the ping and speed) to a Swedish one. The test results you have displayed are "best results" from a server less than 50 miles from you. I had similar results when I used the closest server to me (as selected by the testing site) , but when I changed over to using Swedish servers - this is what I got :

You say Sweden, Is that where your from? then yeah that's what you choose, you do to the nearest to you, which I imagine selects for you.

Actually, No - I'm in Florida U.S.A. - I say Sweden because my traceroute to the shard server runs through Telia.Net (which is a Swedish company), then to T-2.Net which is, I believe, Slovenia. What I am getting at is that to see your *game* connection speed/ping results, you have to run the test *to* the game server (or as close to it as you can get). 8)

TammrLyn this post is about your connection to your local server not from the one in sweden, it was just a bit of fun just for people to post what they are getting.

I maybe didn't make it very clear in my original post sorry for the misunderstanding

Not a problem .. I understand. I just thought that it might be nice to see how you/me/we connect to the server also.

The distance to the server is really the nearest. I live out in the boonies. :D
