disappearing character

Hello all,

I apologize if this is something that's covered elsewhere, or has been asked before, but I've tried looking in several places and haven't found it. If it's out there, please feel free to tell me to RTFriendlyM if you don't mind giving me pointers to it.

I've played UO off and on over the years, but really got excited when I came across Excelsior because it's the only free shard that plays flawlessly (or, at all) under Linux.

I started a few months back and had gotten in to it a bit and had amassed some stuff that I'd like keep. Sometime in May I stopped having the time to log in and it fell by the wayside. I've got some time now to invest, and so I decided to log in. I was able to log in with not problem, however, once I got past the 'Excelsior' part, it took me to the character creation page. The character I had is nowhere around.

Like I said, I've been away for a few months, so it would not surprise me if the account/character was deleted. Could someone confirm that that's the case, or that it's something else going on?

There is an account deletion time depending on how much time you have played, I believe.
It's very possible that your previous account had been auo-deleted.
I am unsure of the actual math involved though.

Old accounts arnt deleted, they are recycled into GM treats for the masses!

AFAIK the deletion time for inactivity is 6 months, so it is unlikely you char got deleted beacause of that. You might put a page asking about the deletion. +Colibri probably can and will answer your question.
