Dark Nights Option

Post by zoom1012 »

I was wondering if "dark nights" is supported on Excelsior? I've checked the box and rebooted, etc. but it always stays daytime in UO. Is this implemented or is there an issue on my end?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

If you're using razor, make sure the light filter isn't checked, making it daytime all the time.... Also check to see if you're wearing nightsight on anything. I know i been in the dark recently :D

Thanks for the reply Shotta. So you're saying in order to see dark nights you need to check or UNcheck the "light filter" in Razor? I currently do not have a checkmark in the light filter box.

LOL, I gues I could have been less confusing :P You must make sure that you have NOT checked the light filters box in razor. that makes it bright day. I know some dungeons are dark... haven't noticed nighttime outside yet though. I don't use razor that much anymore.

This might not really be helping, but also make sure that you aren't wearing any item with night sight on it. Also possible is that someone cast the night sight spell on you, though that would only work till the end of the night (i think it's approx 15 minutes). Also, if you are standing in any special area, like the newbie dungeon, training room, could be that we didn't configure the light there properly.

Thank you everyone. I will double check to make sure none of my gear has night sight on it. I did make sure I do not have light filter checked in Razor.

Just as a follow up. I ended up having 3 pieces of armor that had Night Sight on them. I am now seeing night time YAY.

Thanks everyone for your help!
