Need Computer Help (possibly)

I just got a new laptop, HP with windows 10 on it. The only thing I have done to it was install UOex. When I leave my laptop while in the game, sitting at my house or anywhere, not doing anything, after about 10 minutes I am logged out. I have the laptop set to never go to sleep. Anyone have any idea why?
Also for a not a bit savvy computer person, if I was to put a program on to help with UO, which would be the one for a noncomputer person to use. UO easy, razor, stream. I know nothing about scripts or any other computer stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regarding computer issues perhaps you can simply see the power options: if the screen goes black (after 10 min) it can also be shutting down wify connection has a power saving option.

You can try reading this thread (Microsoft forum) and see if anything matches you're problem:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... 5842c3a4b3

For a more user friendly program I recommend UOSteam.
You can go into the UOEX forum -> development -> published macros and copy some macros for you're UOSteam.
It also has simple automated functions like "opening doors" "scavenger" "autoloot" and you can record your actions and save it has a macro.

Thank you very much for the reply.
I will read the microsoft link and check the power saving options.

One more question - Game related -

When I am being attacked by a mongbat, orc, whatever (letting my dog outside, so away from the computer for a moment}
Why do I not kill it? I just stand there and let it kick me in the shins.

Normally it won't autoattack despite being hit.

If you decide to use UOSteam I suggest you look for this in the UOEX forums:
[UOSteam] Alamiester's Easy Fighter -> great macro will autoattack enemies in range and cast a bunch of other interactions depending on number of enemies and etc.

note: be careful when using macros because you have 1 min to answer afk check and avoid conflicts with other players

Trying to install uosteam and I keep getting the error message

D: client.exe - Fail Fast Exception
A fail fast exception occurred. Exception handlers will not be invoked and the process will be terminated immediately.

I have the server info set to shard.uoex.net port 60
And the ultima online client.exe at the top with th directory following, when I leave the second area blank it tells me to choose an ultima online directory. Any help for a fix would be great

Install both ultima client and UOS in the same disk. Set UOS like in the image: in the client options select the cliente.exe file and in the Ultima online select the folder (where that .exe file is).

Run UOS with admin.

see if the both programs were correctly installed.

I think your problem is with battery power management, (if exactly 10 minutes),
fully check your power setting with this guide...

Not constantly getting logged off anymore. YEAH, Thanks so much, I set it to Never got to sleep. I always play with the computer plugged in. Now just to get the hang of windows 10. I haven't tried to install UO stream yet, possibly this week sometime.

I do have another game related question, if anyone can/would be so kind to answer.

During IDOC how do you pick up, hold onto, and get it back to my house, something that weighs 1000 or more pounds. An example would be a completely full seedbox or a stuffed strongbox ? I still have not figured that one out. Thanks again !

How often to you reset your router? If you don't reset it periodically (I reset mine every 2 weeks), you will get auto-logged out from time to time

weight question:

If : number of items < bag of holding capacity -> drag the box to the bag and you can take it away

if: number of items > bag capacity -> empty the box on site or use mules to carry the weight

if: items are resources -> drag the items to a bag of resources and take the box away after

I think recall will fail if you are holding an item

there is fourth option:
If it is resource move/add it to the keys.
if it is a gem move it to gem box.
if it is BOD move it to BOD Book.
if it is PS move it to PS Book ...

What is left in resource bag/BoH is 14 kinds of ore. and gold.

While mounted you can go greatly over your weight limit and still be able to move for a short time. Summon a gateway. You can pick up the item and carry it with you through the gateway.

I suggest going mounted so you get more than 1 or 2 steps...

This used to work just fine, but I haven't tried it in quite some time.

Alternatively if you are doing an IDOC event, toss several pack mules into your backpack. Summon them and fill them up. They can hold a lot more than you can...
