Excelsior

I just had to post this about what happened to me last night in the game. I hope this is the appropriate place.

I just want to take a moment to say how much I appreciate the player Sir Jamuk for his kind and generous help last night. He is definitely and upstanding player and this is the reason why I enjoy playing on Excelsior.

I had asked in chat where I could purchase a blank rune book. I got some help about trying to buy one off of a player vendor. There were so many vendors that it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. So out of the blue Sir Jamuk pm'd me and asked if I had found one yet. I said no. Then he said that he had a spare blank one he could give me. So we ended up gating to his neat looking house to give me the book. After that he started asking what type of armor I had. Well, being a [young] player I only had the green helmet and my robe. So next thing I know he goes back into his house and comes out with a bag with a complete set of armor and a nice sword to boot. I was estatic with joy. This will help me so much. Then a lady named Nix poofed out of thin air and asked if I needed any help, etc. I thought that was pretty darn neat.

It joyed me to see someone like him go above and beyond to help a complete beginner stranger. I will definitely pass this gear on to another new player to show the same kindness that was shown to me.

So I'd like to say Thank You again for his kindness.

we might not be the number 1 place in the ranking, but we are number 1 in hospitality imo

On a last note, if there is any sort of title or item to bestow to him from the community leaders, I hope someone can arrange it.

I had a similar experience from a guy called banana. I have found this shard to be most helpful and I have yet to be lol'd at or be called a noob for asking stupid questions....

The vacuum of my absence is starting to show itself i see...

The person that helped me when I first came to the shard was he who shall not be named; I'm sure he's either banned or forgotten by now or both, but it was awfully random.

I know this will be hard to hear, and some will not believe it, but Gwen helped me when I was a noob, altho she exudes this hard exterior, I know a heart beats in there and I will be eternally grateful, and I love reminding her of it too :
