Ok so Ive heard two different theories recently and Im not sure which one is true...
One is that damage increase cap from gear is 100% and you have to get additional DI from spells and abilities up to 300% cap
The other is that the cap is 300% no matter where is comes from... be it gear, abilities etc.
Can someone with access to source code clarify for me prease.

Controlled Experiment: The only thing I had on was a regular bow with 100% SSI and DI increments below. Damage range after several arrows with each bow is shown below. This is with no buffs, no special moves, just attacking the same monster that I healed several times and did not alter.

You will also find that small increases of strength beyond that point will increase dmg values as they appear on the stat sheet minimally

Indeed. I just wanted to keep it to one independent variable being altered. Nothing was changed in that test. My stats, gear, the monster's skills and stats, all were the exact same throughout the test. The only thing that changed was the damage increase modifier.
