Sold: Maral Secret Mountain Keep

Sold a Keep in the secret mountain location between Maral Mooktown and the Orc Fort.

No spawn. No neighbors. Very private. Accessible only by rune -- folks won't just wander by. A Keep is placed here and I built a staircase to the roofs using goza mats as shown. Room for multiple merged 18x18s, create a custom keep by merging the 18x18 to the front of the keep, merge two keeps (two unmerged Keeps almost but don't quite fit) lots of great options here.

This is one of the 8 secret spots in Maral (which mirror the spots in Malas and Magda) and one of the few which fit a Keep. If you're looking for a special house spot, a step above the open space elsewhere, you won't readily find better.

Price includes the 572k gold Keep and the goza mat staircase as shown.

I would have been interested in such a secluded spot until all the recent IDOC's opened up vast areas to place dwellings.

For such a spot to still have added value for me I would:

a) Need to know for certain no-one else had a rune to spot, with 100% certainty.
b) Need to also know that you would not keep a copy of rune to same spot for future visits?

Without knowing for sure that it was not possible for someone else to access area it is just another standard spot in my mind.

If there was some way of verifying no-one else could access area I would still be interested.

no way at all to ensure no one has a marked rune to a spot...I usually mark one in a tucked-away corner that is pretty much impossible to house place over or yard item over to block.

I don't know this for certain. I think the house that was there fell in the October 2020 IDOC. I didn't notice until searching just before this month's IDOC so it appears to me that too few people have the rune for it to have been found and claimed over 4 months.

I will absolutely keep a rune to it. Not being a tool, I won't harass the buyer or give the rune to anybody else but when and if the buyer vacates I'll reclaim it and try to sell it again. In fact, I was the one who sold it in 2019 back after Maral first opened: viewtopic.php?p=75016

There was lots of open space before Sunday's IDOC. There's lots of open space now. There is always a shortage of really neat locations that fit big houses. This is a really neat location.

If you're going to spend ED sinking and merging house plots, and placing yard wand items, why not do it in a neat location?

A clarification: Malas and its clones have a handful of hidden pouches scattered about. When you drop a blank rune in one of these pouches, it's marked with an entry point to one of these secret locations. I was the first person to claim this location in 2019 when it opened. I then sold it to another player. That player apparently quit -- their house is gone. So I claimed it again.

I think the rune-pouch locations are configured in a corner of these places, so its always possible to get there, even if there's already a house.

Had I not just built a new double plot home in a recently vacated spot, I would buy this in a heartbeat.
