Ok, a report. I'll make it an honest one.
The first week:
from a beginner point of view it was.. challenging. (I been here 30 days as of today, before that I quit uo 11years back so all this tokuno, etc etc things were totally new to me)
and I seem to recall it was said to be for beginners and vets alike.
The hardest quest first week was to find cornheads..cornbreads? house took me a good while before I was told it was a player.
The amount of curses I have used to try grow a flower is beyond reason for those bonuspoints ....*sigh* after 3 days I "cheated" and bought a plant.
I was not so familiar with [exex that first week, and never heard of gargoyle city and stackable items and toolhouses where also news. Not to get a clear answer, left me a bit frustrated (keep in mind I was tearing my hair from that flower pot thing) add to that "the reagent/mage quest" which left me quite broke(costed me 200k) now thats alot of money for someone new.
The chatt quizz/ riddles "each" day added a bit confusion due to the timezones and I was not particularly fond of those.the final thing the first week that I didn't liked was that extra points had been added as i understood it, to someone who had greatly added to the reagents in the spellkey, I thought that a bit unfair, since I had worked so hard for it. It was not stated anywhere additional points besides the additional points could be added ( sounds a bit confusing I know).
That sent me in a grumpy mood, and I skipped the second week, I was broke and kinda needed some time to familiarize with uo again and evolve my character, and from the time I had put down in the hunt the first week, left me a bit behind in rl.
I can be a bit competitive.
Third week I decided to give it a go again, I cant tell you any details due to the hunt is still in play, but I have learned how you plan and set things up,and also more knowledgeable about the shard, so it was not as hard as the first week and quite enjoyable.I recommend a spell check before you write the books, or just reread it for typos.
This scavenger hunt has taught me alot, even though the learning curve have been steep and stressful, and the joy when i completed one of the harder ones or came to a milestone in a quest was amazing. I meet alot of kind people, (and a few not as kind) and have seen places I probably would not have seen otherwise, and for that I'm grateful. I have also come to understand what an incredible amount of time you have put down into this hunt, not to mention the money and effort ..I take my hat off & applaud you. Your town is great, and many of the ideas in the hunt were quite unique. One of my favorite bit in the third week was the chess part where you had to play someone you had never met before. This makes it a little harder for the old folks, and it was also great to get people to know each other.
I also think that you should keep part of the hunt permanently so more people can enjoy it, cause it was great fun.
you might want to consider to bribe nyx with some flowers or sacrifice a goat to V (or vise verse)to help set up a reward for that though, cause imagine it been a lot of work emptying your bank account these three weeks
Iam looking forward another hunt.
And remember you dont need fancy prizes for people to join, so dont feel pressure there for the next hunt, I think many did it for the fun of it, and in my book thats what counts.
I hope you all have a great time at the party saturday, I wont be online after tonight until monday due work so I cant attend, save some cake for me

and again, great work to you Lestat and your friends that helped you out.
