well, I just used 2 more cold resist ones, and it was worth 1% each, so my original numbers were wrong, but still it gained.

It's far more effective to let a pet do the fighting for you, unless you're talking about the weaker mounts. But in the case of, say, a nightmare....let it fight for you.
