Also the NPC at the champ spawn (newbie one) said if the spawn has 8 red skulls already, only then are you required to ask to join.

Or.. you could just go in anyways, since you're not stealing anything and no real gold is made there. You're assisting and everyone is getting a scroll, no harm no foul right?

** this is only because it is the newbie champ spawn, and not one of the more rewarding, tougher champ spawns.
