Re: Training discordance made easy

This is a very helpful post! Thanks for sharing it.

Someone should probably update the wiki with this *looks at someone with editor rights*

Re: [OpenEUO] Beekeeping

After seeing the reply's on people not using Str pots, I went to test things out myself. I started planning my reply with arguments like Str only costs 5 mandrake roots, while Cures cost 7 garlics. I felt well prepared for a good battle, but as it turned out, this isn't a battle, as much as a flat o...

Re: Training Room Idea

Ahh! Now I get what you meant. Do I get to feel special because you singled me out? Afterall: -Type "I pray to the gods" Welcome to Cleric spells! Spirit speak acts as magery. Do the Rat Quest in newbie dungeon, sell the organics. Do the Newbie Champ north west of fel entrance In my eyes t...

Re: EUO Loops vs. resources

Now that was the reply I was hoping for! Thanks for enlightening me Lestat!

Since I "only" have 8-10 running scripts at most, I wont have to fear for my heal script.

Re: Training Room Idea

I couldn't agree more with you on that one, Xavian, in theory. But Excelsior is a "dexxers paradise". Are you saying, that a mage build is just as viable as a dexxer?

Re: Training Room Idea

There should probably be some hints about magery vs dexterity. My original build was with 115 mana and it was a pain to fix again. "Use your hands the way the gods intended! Punch something - this isn't Hogwarts" Another one could be for the usefulness of pets. "Make life easier for y...

Re: EUO Loops vs. resources

I suspected an answer like that, and it does make sense. Thanks for your reply! My only worry was that, although EOU is designed to run scripts(like my computers OS), UO isn't. Even though I don't "run" them all at the same time, they are still active, in that infinite loop(hotkeys / mob s...

EUO Loops vs. resources

I have a couple of questions about EOU loops, that I couldn't find any answers for on the EUO forums. If I have a simple loop that looks like this: loop: onhotkey F13 goto KillClosestPlayersHorse sleep 10 goto loop Not that serious, but you probably get where I'm going. Now for the serious part. My ...

Re: PvP

Thanks for clarifying the heal nerfs, +Nyx. That makes a lot more sense then my assumptions, and if I take it at face value(without doing any math), it doesn't sound like it would hurt the übers that much, but still give the lower geared players an ounce of a fighting chance. The idea about providin...

Re: PvP

PvP isn't really my thing, but I do see the why many other players love this aspect of the game so much. That it's confined to a single area, only makes it so much better, from a PvE'ers POV. Making it viable / more appealing for the über's and the more normal geared players alike, seems almost impo...

Re: [OpenEUO] Beekeeping

The script works flawless, thank you for sharing it, Yancy! With brhanson2's tweaks it works even better. Thank you too! My only minor complaint was that it didn't dispense a Str pot, so I added a couple of lines to brhanson2's script. Under the "function HealPotions (nX, nY)" I added this...

Re: Relayers and meditation

Thanks guys. The responses makes a bunch of sense, sadly. I was hoping to be clever and only level up weapons that had Spell Channel, so I wouldn't have to buy those mage armor deeds. Guess I'll have to stick to +V's recommendations and only use light armor(not that it makes any difference, other th...

Relayers and meditation

I got a couple of dumb questions about relayers and meditation, just as the title says. 1. If I level up a huge 2-handed XXX(Sword / Haly / The Sunday Times / whatever) that I can't meditate with, then relayer it as a cloth garment / jewelry, would that allow me to meditate with it on? 2. Same examp...

Re: Wax Tool / Wall Sconce

I noticed this too, when I crafted my first one. Like you, I hated the color(I'm guessing), but from what I gathered, the regular colored ones are rewards from giving gold to the town beggars.

I would love to be able to recolor my torches tho.
