OK... so I was being dumb: I used razor to start client and it worked (somehow). But when I launched just uo.exe I had to create a new char, but appeared in the right spot and all kinds of right mechanics were working, so I guess that's that...

Now I have two less grave questions: 1) how to pass ...

I downloaded and installed the package that was given on the starting page and when I login it says my client is three versions too old... o_O When I try to patch it, the patcher freezes. Also, to add to the confusion I went to the trading fair location, then left for Minoc moongate ...
