Insanity Taffy
Insanity Taffy
I think the most insane part of getting this stuff is the drop rate. My group has been there for about 3-4 hours for the last three nights in a row and we have killed somewhere between 30-40 insane druids and not a single drop of taffy. We have multiples of every other Blighted Grove piece, but this Taffy just is not dropping.
Is it intentionally this rare? If so, it just plain isn't worth going after, as it is really just one small piece of a huge puzzle for just one piece of the Mage Inquisition Armor.
I have talked to other folks about this quest and almost all of them have given up at various points because the drop rates are nearly impossible. I am not suggesting it should be an easy quest, but I don't think it should be ridiculously hard either.
On a side note, why do you take a karma hit from an insane druid?

Been Farming Blight for about 2 weeks now 1 maybe 2 Hours per night normally so far ive got:
30+ Books
12 Dreamcathers
10 Teeth
30+ Scales
10 Tangle thingys
10 Wood bits
5 Taffys
Dunno if this helps but yes i find them the lowest of the drop rate by far not bothered tho since im farming ointments the pieces are just an extra bonus

Dryad, not druid.
The armor is worth it, keep trying.
As Nabsickle mentioned, the Blighted Grove is also nice for ointment farming, and Melisande herself is a sizable chunk of change and the potential for top-tier random dropped loot, and she doesn't require any summon-keys to boot.
Additionally you can cover the entirety of the grove in a few minutes, with no blockages between traveling back and forth between sections. It's a very friendly place to farm.

I don't think Delentia or FRED would agree with you, but I understand your point, heheheh.Kaervas wrote:... It's a very friendly place to farm.
I bartered for a couple of taffys from Nabsickle, but we need one more, so we'll keep trying

Re: Insanity Taffy
If you're going to give up based on Blighted Grove drop rates, you're in for a sad surprise when you move on to the others.
Re: Insanity Taffy
Exactly. And yes, doing ALLLLLL of those things to get a single piece is well worth it. You don't have to, you could just buy all the items you need, but if you're gonna give up based on Blighted Grove ... yea it doesn't get better lolHarabakc wrote:If you're going to give up based on Blighted Grove drop rates, you're in for a sad surprise when you move on to the others.

Re: Insanity Taffy
I've never seen the point of more then a second piece being all that worth it. Then again I'd be half as effective as I am now if I had a full set of it. I only got the second piece a few days ago and it isn't all that big of a help.

Re: Insanity Taffy
Players sell it reasonably often, seems the usual going price is 300 ED per gem of completion.Undertaker wrote:cant buy the armor anymore

That's not what he meant.

Yes, I remember what you told me before, hence my emphasis on 'players' selling it.Harabakc wrote:That's not what he meant.
