So, I haven't seen a post and I think it's a pity since some great work was put into this dungeon so here's one for people to post their opinions and what not about this nice new *temporary* addition.
For one, I think the Hallow Rider was one of the coolest things I've encountered in UO in general. I was genuinely surprised when it cast the levitation like spell (nice effects). I don't know if that's something one of the staff here concocted, or if it's available from elsewhere but there should be more spells/effects/situation changes added over time. This is an excellent start.
Random spawning items/checks/goodies anyone? Exploring, finding new things, it's one of the coolest aspects of UO. I'm all for ANY additional stealables or timed spawns, they make you check your surroundings more. Also special 'rare' loot from the various baddies is always a +
The design is full of win. An 'old' location but touched up to look 'new' and with the Halloween feel. Sweetness.
Anyways, what do other people think about it?

Re: Hallows Keep
I love it personally, as you said its a nice temporary addition and it really captures the feel of Halloween. I was running through it yesterday and, BAM, this Horseman appears right in front of my face. Quickly went to Global chat and asked for help from anyone in the dungeon. At least 4 or 5 people came to assist me (thanks to all who did) 'cause there was no way I would've been able to take that thing on alone. The new goodies and other things that are present in the area are all nice. You're right, its a pity no one had posted anything about it before.

I am glad that you have both enjoyed it.
New passages will be opening up as well, so be on guard at all times. You never know what might be lurking around the corner, or which doors might suddenly become unhinged.

Does the Hollow Rider drop treat baskets?
After the longest (45min) fight of our UO career, Gid, Gilgalad and myself managed to take him down. All he has was about 1K gold and some regular shields, armor and weapons, nothing special, nothing in our backpacks...kind of disappointing
Oh yeah...and he actually did fight back when we fought him. I see a lot of folks fighting him and he is just standing there...I'm sure that is a bug.

Yes, he does drop baskets. They go straight into your pack. Im not sure exactly how the player who gets the basket is picked though. Try asking Tess in game. She basically lives in Hallows Keep and can probably give you a better answer on the baskets.
