Hi... my game name is Jekyll...yes it was my account that got hacked over last weekend I would like to thank the staff of Excelsior getting me up and running again with the return of most of my stuff. I on a personal note would like to thank +Colibri and +Rayne for both there hard work on my account. A special thanks to +Rayne cos i know she got a bee in her bonnet and worked extremely hard on returning my stuff to me. another note of thanks goes to Timmy and his wife Tess Thank you both. If i have missed anybody out then please except my apology. The last thing i will say is, all change ur password on a regular basis to stop these idiots from creating a complete mess of ur gaming. See you in game (thank God)
here's a tip. always make your password more than 8 alpha AND numeric. little bit harder for people to "guess" your password. never have it: family members, digits like phone numbers or addresses. no birthdates, child birthdates. things of those nature. also, never family members with number. keep it strictly random. also special note. get a stick'em and put the password on it. never on your computer somewhere.
just trying to help. good luck and i hope it never happens to you again.
NEVER EVER type in your password when you log in cause theres programs that can detect what you type in
so have a little note somewhere with your pass(es) and do copy/paste everytime you log into any game account
this have kept me safe in my 12 years of online gaming and to this date ive never been hacked in any major online game
haha... reminds me of some of the bigger shards, simply type in the username "lol" and pass "lol" and you got a really good pvp acct, no joke... if theres a professional hacker out there, he can almost anything to ur comp... if they can steal an idenity of a CEO goverment job, an rob him clean of everything... a uo acct is nothing... or was it the ceo of some big bank... i dont remember, it was in the paper...
but yes, changing ur password to something random an hard to remember every few months, isnt a bad idea
