Because there were no application for mayor position for July, Jin Uzuki remains the shard Mayor. But one person cannot be mayor for more than 2 months in a row. So for august, we will have to vote out another person, or the shard will not have a mayor.
To apply for Mayor position, you need to fill a book and give it to the coordinating admin. In the book write your shard account and character name, and the character name of at least one other person that supports you. The final date for submitting the books is July 23rd.

On the 24th, the names will be published, and you all have one week to vote. To vote, buy a book, in it write: your username, and the name of the person who you wish to vote for. The winner will be announced on August 1st, and will on that date also move into Lord British castle, get the honorary title and sash.

Two players have applied, they both have valid support to be a candidate, so here they are. The candidates are:

You can vote for either of them, the votes must be in by the end of July. Deadline for submitting your voting books is July 31st 2006, 23:59:59, shard time.
This topic is also the right place for the candidates to post their agenda.
To vote, simply buy a book, in it write:
1. your character name (or under which name we most commonly know you)
2. your username on the shard
3. the name of the person for who you are voting.
Then,
4. go to Excelsior Halls, Auction House (from the teleporter east, it's by the road),
5. go to the first floor, there you will see a white table with a voting chest on it.
6. Drop your book in the voting chest.
The voting chest is secured, only administrators can access the books inside. Your vote is anonymous, altho if you want, there's no objection in telling others for who you voted.

Albeit very cool that Ive been nominated let me bring you a little bit of what Im about.
I own and operate an online radio network called TMSBroadcasting. Its my job to make sure what the community wants, how to handle it with staff, and when and how to come to a common ground.
Thats what I plan to do here. I want to make UOEx to grow into larger community, but the only way to do that are the by the two principles I run my company with.
Community and Content.
Without community backing, community involvement, and overall enjoyment. its just another grind fest. If elected I plan on trying to gather and rally to community that we have togethor to enhance our opporunity to gather more players on our server.
Without content - a game is a game is a game. Nothing original about it. I plan on working with the staff to help out with interactive storylines, more in game events and helping out schedule player events.
