I just wanted to say hi to everyone, i am new to the shard. I first stared playing UO right before 3rd Dawn came out. I haven't played in about 4-5 years. A lot has changed since then, i am glad i found this shard in my search to start playing again.

Hey welcome datsde, a lot is different here at Excelsior shard compared to normal shards so you will have great fun exploring around here =))

Welcome! 
You'll find that Excelsior provides a number of things still reminiscent of the good 'ole days, but not so much that it becomes redundant. Staff has provided dozens, probably hundreds of individual systems custom tailored to Excelsior, such as Apiculture (Beekeeping); Horticulture (Plants/Gardening); and of course the beloved Champ Spawns. We even have a custom breeding/taming system that you can check out on the Wiki, here.
In fact, here are a few helpful links for you!
UOEX Wiki - A complete knowledge base with nearly everything you'll need to know about Excelsior. It also provides a New Player Guide and a Survival Guide!
Excelsior Codex - A comprised list of rules/policies set forth by shard administration. That should be one of the first things you look over; most of them are common sense, but it's always nice to have a refresher once in a while!
UOEX Donations - If you enjoy your stay here, and decide tomorrow, next week, or months down the road that you'd like to contribute, you are able to donate. Do not worry, there is a nifty currency converter in the event you need one, on the page. Staff has gone to great lengths to provide some awesome incentives for donations, so you should look them over! Fyi: There are purchasable items, in-game, that you can buy with a special currency called the, Excelsior Dollar. These "EDs" can be obtained through shard events, donations, or even via purchasing them from other players who have extra.
UOEX Portal - One of the coolest features on Excelsior, is the "portal". Here, you can check private messages (even old ones!), talk in general chat without being in-game, and many other great features.
