Problems with my Hiryu

Post by gavenvo »

Hello all,

I have 120 tame (w jewelry) and 115 animal lore (w jewelry) and I tamed a Hiryu but he runs away when I use the Kill command...any ideas? He will "guard" though...

Do you mean he runs away after he has killed something using the kill command? If it is then that's normal behaviour. You'll have to use the follow/come command when he's done killing stuff.

nah he wont run to the mob and fight it...when i use the kill command he runs away. Someone told me at gm lore & taming my jewelry doesnt help me with controlling the pet...is that accurate? If so I am screwed until I can afford the scrolls and that also means jewelry is useless on this server no?

I'm not sure about this shard, but there are some mobs which you cannot direct your pets to attack. Pets will only attack these mobs if the mobs target you while your pets were previously set to guard you. Have you tried commanding your hiryu to attack different types of mobs?

I've tried the basics during my journey...undead, elementals..even the dummy's at the training center. Like I said originally when I set to guard he will defend me but wont attack using the kill command.

Ok this maybe a bit long winded, I apologies I have limited connection time and want to put something forwarded here.

What your going through is exactly the same problem I had a few weeks ago, other than my skills disappearing. :? My pets would do all the commands but the “all kill.” I would give the command and, nada, nope, zilch, nothing you get the idea. All five of my nobles would just stand there drooling. So I understand your frustration. Even if I typed it in by hand they just stood there. Here is what I did.

1. The all kill command was set up as a mac in Razor with a hot key. So I started up the client with out Razor. Bingo they did as told I said kill the imp they did. :D So ok thought the problem solved. Started up razor and back to the standing around on the job while I got beat up. :verymad:
2. So now I was really upset I started looking at other utilities that would work along side Razor. After awhile I found UOTamer on UOStratics. I like this one a lot works well with Razor it is somewhat customizable and better yet my nobles now do as commanded. :woot: It takes a bit to set up but it allows you to give command to single pet or all them. There a button pretty much for each of the pet commands you would get from the GUI. Two you can assign macs to which I opted for cleric heal and claim all. Either way it worked for me so I thought I would throw it out there.

If you’re not running razor then I am at a loss but if you are you may want to check it out. Then of course it could all just be in my head. But by deduction the culprit FOR me was razor. If you have any question you can PM me if I’m on. Hope this helps.

I would like to add that in no way do I endorse, support or sponsor UOTamer. I merely use the heck out of it.
but heres the web site check it out, but if it kills your PC dont be coming to me for a couple thousand gold pieces.

When I first started on UOEX a year ago I had XP, no issues with razor now I have a Lap top with vista and it seems a bit buggy. So maybe need something different if anyone had a suggestion I am open to here.

You have the UO registry installed correctly right? I'm running windows 7 and I've had no issues with All Kill, though I made sure that razor knew where the UO directory folder was and I installed the registry information.

have not had an issue with crashing, maybe it has to do more with the newer computers and a game that has been around for how long. been reading up on it and many other players from other shards are saying same thing. like said no issues with XP now i have vista and had problems. (specifically Razor so maybe time to find something new).

Any how thats no the topic, right. not to sound rude or harsh but i am glad i am not the only only one that had this problem. thought i was loosing my mind. so gavenvo if you do find a fix or different program than razor please feel free to share. thx

nor sure if people have already stated this (or if anyone is still experiencing these problems) but in the options (on the paperdoll) theres a macro window thats more than cpable of issuing Say:"all kill" (and every other command)
hope it helps
