Well after a person I shall allow to remain nameless at this time made some false accusations against myself and others that we were intentionally trying to keep said unnamed person from getting any PS's through the long established use of lure stones and trees at champ spawns and reported myself and others to the GMS for said infractions and caused a split within a guild due to an apparent lack of knowledge and perceived selfishness.

So I decided to run a few tests thanks to some information I was given by the brilliant Gwendolyn.

Today at a champ spawn with just me Blaze and one other person I would tell my bios to guard me and they would either stay with me or run out and smack mobs and comeback to me when I said all guard me.

Whenever I would say all follow me they would run right at Blaze's lure stone. Now I have 128 lore and Blaze is runing 130 lore. My supposition is that because he has a higher lore than I do his lure stone will draw my pets if they are not on all guard or all kill mode.

So I offer my apologies to the unnamed person if I kept him from getting a PS but it was unintentional, however your actions at the second champ spawn where when I saw you and went to the other side you ran right to my lure stone with your pets was not only childish but downright dispicable because you were apparently attempting to cause problems instead of resolve them.

I hope this clarifies issues for future champers and helps resolve future issues for other players and could possibly help the staff resolve this coding problem to help keep peace among the players.

About the incident, we've established that it was just a misunderstanding so I hope we can all put this behind us.

As for the lure stone itself, ty for running the test. I have also found the piece of code that actually controls this (there's 2 pieces and i was looking at the wrong one before) and i see why this happens. I have just edited this and it will be in at the next server patch.

At the moment, if you cast the lure stone with animal lore skill of 100 or above, it will lure all creatures that are currently fighting. Below 100 skill it will only lure tamable creatures.

On a related subject, i will probably disable casting the stone circle around champ spawns since that has also been something to start a riot about.

well the only problem with stone circle is if the champ boss spawns inside the circle...if there is a way to make it so it doesn't that would be neat-o

Dispel field works wonders on stone circle if your somehow prevented from attacking the champion at these spawns. That would be my work around anyhow. Can't say i've ever had a problem personally though. :lookingout:

yeah but you shouldn't have to cast a spell just so you can get to a champ. one time at 3 candles i accidentally casted stone circle. got yelled at from like 3 peeps. lol, i hate arthritis. grrr.

even with stone circle and everyone else attacking I attack the boss with my yumi (no pets,stop spells, just my yumi with regular arrows) and I still get a ps (sometimes 2) .....yeppers.....but I guess it's about being prepared, champing with people you know, or trying to pm/chat with them about when the boss comes up so there is no misunderstandings ..... *shrug*
