Scrolls in Token trash bag

Post by Ceara »

I do not see any discussion about the scrolls in Token trash bag issue, where they remain after clearing.

Were people making too many tokens on scrolls or something?

If that's an issue, I don't have a problem with it. However, the Token trash is very useful, especially on long sea voyages with TONS of scrolls in the SOS chests to toss. I like having a portable trash bag, and even help "tidy" the shard by picking up stuff others carelessly drop, like empty bags at the Gravedigger NPC.

So perhaps you could set the token return value as zero for all scrolls, but they will still disappear when clearing the Token bag. Just won't get any Tokens for them. Is that even possible?

Could also change the loot generation in Prison Camp chests, SOS chests, land treasure chests, dungeon chests, etc. There are always a ton of scrolls, and you can't even scoot them around the box to find the stuff you want and leave the rest. SOS would be more fun if there were chances to get good stuff (but not the best) in the chest rather than from monsters alone. As it stands now the only items of value in chests are gold, gems, reagents, blank scrolls and ointments. And for sea chests, nets are probably the best item inside and the rest of the "junk" minus gold, reagents and gems are destined for the Token trash (for me anyway).

I also wish there was more communication between staff and players, and not just silly chat, song singing, the occasional "new raffle in Trinsic," and surprise changes to the system. People have questions and no one seems to have any answers, only speculation which contributes to arguments. Then staff then have to take time to settle arguments and/or punish offenders. Would solve many problems with more communication.

I understand that staff are volunteers and everyone has real life stuff to do besides tend to the game, but it does not take long to type up something and keep communication lines open. If help is needed in that department, I'd be more than happy to volunteer.

I believe the staff has acknowledged the problem and communicated to the players online that they are working to resolve the issue. I'm was just trolling some of the chat logs and noticed that both the staff as well as players communicating this message. Unfortunately (but realistically) the staff aren't on all the time but I think they've done a great job communicating many of the issues as they come up. Give them some time and I'm sure they'll fix it soon.

As for the scrolls and/or any other stackable items not clearing in the Token trash bag, I recall seeing another player mention that you can put those items in a container and then trash the container. Short-term, but effective fix for this issue.

When i was putting in the code to make it so that bags you get from exex withdrawal don't reward any tokens, well one wrong line and it broke alot of it :) This will be fixed at next restart, which i presume will be either in a few hours or tomorrow.
