I cant remember who it was but i gave out bad advice a while back that i thought to be true.
A dull color pollinated with itself doesn't offer bright seed. I tested the theory out a little more today while pollinating with a few different plant types. Fortunately i grew a lot of the same stuff. Terribly sorry and i hope you find this message whoever ye be.
Take any of my advice lightly as i'm a novice planter. However i'm going to pop another screenshot in my flower thread soon.
