Ok, i admit i only skimmed a few of the posts, and it completely understandable where a lot of people are coming from. What i got out of it is... people like to stand around to do most dps on champ rather than helping clear... and people with pets cause problems because its hard to target the boss. I don't think pets should be eliminated tho.

I could agree with either pets, or player, maybe whoever does more. Of course, that gives the advantage to someone who only uses pets OR melee/spells what ever.

Perhaps to avoid the mob of mobs mobbing the champ, some sort of gump could auto open to allow everyone to target him with ease, or even some kind of auto-target system JUST for the champ. Is this even possible?

A couple of the ideas i saw seemed pretty good. I thought that the way PS were distributed were already based on how much damage done to champ?

I particularly liked the idea about having to do damage to the junk mobs as well to receive a scroll. IMO the people who clear it deserve the scroll more than those who just beat the champ down...

A possible scenario is to total damage as was suggested, and if you do less than X you don't even get a chance at one, because you contributed nothing to the fight anyways, so why should you be rewarded? That being said, I think there should also be some kind of randomness involved, perhaps 3 out of the top 5 damagers ( i don't know how many scrolls normally drop, so this is an arbirtary number) get scrolls chosen at random. This would prevent the same person from always getting the best of the best loot.

Gold imo should be distributed among everyone who did NOT get a scroll, since the scroll should be reward enough, and then everyone who participates gets something.

I haven't done enough champ spawns to know if this would be a good idea or not, but perhaps a global message when one is available to do. This would allow everyone who wanted to some time to get there, and still give the advantage to those that wanted to camp it (more initial damage to the trash while everyone else was running there).

Just thinking out loud, but you wanted some suggestions and ideas, so theres my $.02.

Just give us a powerscroll with every save.

To difficult, gotta open your backpack and then try to target it through all the items inside your pack.

Hmmm, all too true.
If only there were some way for us to not only get a PS every with every save, but for it to be coded that the scroll is also then sold to another player. And not just sold, I mean like ripping-off-some-sucker-for-as-much-as-they're-worth sold.

If only some way +c would script the saves to put powerscrolls in our backpack of only the kind we could use and are worth using! Like +120 mining and such. Actually to add to that script he should also make it so our characters automatically consume the powerscroll and then go mining, taming, and raise archery and the sort. How awesome would that be? like oh man that would be so the best day of my life you know, who wants to play uo and do champions anyway?

Too bad we don't have a "senseless" posting filter in these forums. Instead of having to make a senseless post about all these other senseless posts.

Many good ideas and prior thoughts, but really the champs are more fair here, than most other shards. Definitely more fair than doing champs on OSI servers. We don't have to worry about pk'ers jumping out and trying to seek our newly earned powerscrolls. There will be pros n cons with any system that could possibly be implemented.

I read through these posts and it seems to me we need an absolute fool proof way to make sure champs and PS distribution is 100% fair. Then it hit me. Im surprised it didnt come to any else before me.

Its a simple matter of an easy to follow mathematical formula.....

((total HP of champ / number of attackers)*100) + (age of youngest attacker of the champ / minutes before the next world save) = Figure A

(Days until St patricks day + days until the next full moon)/(months until haleys comet appears - total number of people online) = Figure B

(total number of mobiles on the server + average of all players compassion + 371) * 100 = Figure C

(avergage of days all online players have been active / 2) - (gold made at last auction + current cost of EDs on exex) = Figure D

Im sure you all see it now, but ill spell it out anyway.....

(Figure C / Figure A) * (Figure B / Figure D) = Figure E

Now....

If Figure E is less than or equal to the amount of gold on the shard and a player has enetered the champ before the 8 candles have popped, or been allowed to enter the champ through a vote and they are one of the 6 people who have done the most damage to a champ whether they use pets or not are given a PS or various strength.

If figure E is more than amount of gold on the shard and a player has enetered the champ before the 8 candles have popped, or been allowed to enter the champ through a vote and they are one of the 6 people who have done the most damage to a champ whether they use pets or not and given a PS or various strength.

Regardless of figure E, one of the 6 players who did the most damage will have a chance to receive a champ skull. It will drop into their pack.

usually if you control shift then right klik to remove the friendly health bars you can find the champ....but champs with more health would be excellent, pure and simple, make em healthier. as for me, i am interested in starting a fair champing coalition, where we use team tactics and help each other, also kinda wait for everyone to target then kill em.. pm me at BeaconofHope if you are interested. also pm me if you would like to join the Father Son Holy Spirit friends guild, or if you need some help or something. as for me,
