leveling speed

i just start playing in the server... after years far from UO
i'm feeling that my skill levels are rising so fast (20 points of minning in few hours)... is this server that is that way ... or i that forgotten how UO was?
(sorry for the poor english... i'm brazilian and i'm drunk... lol)

Greetings and Welcome to Excelsior, this is quite normal for the early stages of your development in the skills, you will notice a slow down the higher the skill gets

Also to help you on your way make sure you get a tour and a free starter kit from Amora at the Youth Centre.
