exploitation

Post by anarchy »

don't know how to put this.

someone got banned from exploiting a bug by giving away eds to another player (also got banned). that person (exploiter) was back tonight around 7am in brit bank (shard time) saying that he's going to keep doing that. his logic is he'll try to get many more people into trouble so the staff see's that she wasn't the only innocent one. messed up logic i know. so heads up notice; i would suggest that you do not accept free eds from young players. nothing is free in life and that could get you in trouble. it's like in real life someone steals a diamond ring and then gives it to you without your knowledge of it being stolen. you could be charged with accepting stolen goods. so please players be very careful when accepting things.

let's try to make it drama and stress free for the staff, and for yourself :)

What?

Why didn't I ever hear anything about this?

It won't affect the steady way the server has been running, will it?

Some heavier measures need be taken to insure this precious shard remain fun and enjoyable for those who decide to play here.

Obviously someone is trying to cause heaviest ammount of damage possible to the shard by enticing players to

do bad things or accept illegitemate items. Why this is, I do not know...

If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Try to think about the impact of your decisions.

also, doubt it would really affect game play at all. in fact sooner or later things will revert to normal and the person who has no life will go away again. of course he'll come back to be a pain again, but if you play str8 you'll be ok.

yeah i'm sure they'll take care of everything like they have done in the past. it's just a small hiccup in the game. nothing to be concerned with. also, thought you got banned bandit? (of course i may have been misinformed there)

the player did say they are doing it to try to get others in trouble, seen them at the bank loading up ppl with fake tour tickits - if you are one of these players whom may have magicly got a pack full - do not use them unless you would like to be acomplise to exploit which would lead you to a ban / jail. *Be A Leader Not A Follower*

Excelsiorians should give tours out of the goodness of their hearts or a desire to see newer players hang around a bit and not so that they can get a few free ED's... I recall being upset a while ago when a complete noob was asking how you cash in tourthankyou tickets and said complete noob didnt even know anything at all about excelsior except that if you convinced another noob to type [tourthankyou you get a rather large reward... I just think noobs who know nothing telling other would be long time players nothing then asking for a few ED's reward is a bit rich... i would like to see the system totally removed... its just dodgy and advocates dodgy actions by dodgy players...

I dont even know if the bug is due to the tourthankyou stuff but if it is then just do yourself a favour and get rid of the system for good...

sorry johnny bandit was playing the edit his post game so i edited my posts too. lol yeah i agree that maybe they need to remove the tourthank you. or revamp it with something like a t-shirt. :) sash. could be kind of fun getting a full set of gear that says i toured so and so set. of course you'll have different names on it. would be cool too in the future when that person becomes a vet and you could rub it in. hey remember this. lol
