Hello Iam new to the shard and have done nothing but worked and gathered items and armors/weps/jewels/dyes and really reare rides. And I put all the stuff into a small house in bags. I said"I wish to lock this down" and did to all bags that I was able to. Then I did" I wish to secure this" on all of them even tho this shard it doesn't matter. So I had house full and bank full and backpack full so I bought a new house. I logged out and back in today and all but 1 bag was gone. I know people lie in uo but I was wondering if I could get the logs checked since its only a day worth and also get my items back? Its the higher up stuff Iam upset. And now Iam worried to log on and place my future items in my house for it to get deleted as well.

I sent a msg but guess it didn't go through. I replied saying no I dont. I have a small normal house. My house and bank and backpack was full of items. Had some pretty cool stuff plus junk I can get hunting more. But it sucks that i lost all this cept 2 bags of useless stuff. I also just went back to my house and notice my plants under my hives have dissappeared as well. And they have been under the hives for over 4 days so how does my plants just dissappear as well? Bags of items plus plants both locked down. IRL friend next me saying maybe bugged house? He knows he seen them as well earlier today.

Did you happen to place a carpet deed? I know that some of my items get hidden under them, esp my flowers for my bee hives. Hope you figure it out if not pm me in game and ill see what i can do to help replace some of your lost items.

Well actually the two commands are slightly different.

If you use the "I wish to lock this down" command on containers (pouches, sacks, chests, some types of furniture where you can store stuff), that means you will not be able to remove anything until the entire container is released. Once items go in a locked down container they automatically take on the status as a locked down item inside the container. You can't move an item in a locked down chest, but you can in a secured chest. So if you release a previously locked down container in order to get something out, but forget to lock it back down again, it will go poof.

For containers you want to keep stuff in, but at the same time be able to move items around inside the container and never lose the container, then you need to use the "I wish to secure this" command.

Choose "I wish to lock this down" with regular items, and "I wish to secure this" for containers (minus the quotation marks). The only exception is deeded deco. They are auto locked down upon placement, like a forge or carpet, and require force in the form of axe in hand to remove.

I'm curious, did you manually type in all your lock down/secure commands, or run them as a hotkey? Have you checked to make sure you didn't misspell any words?

hello and thanks for wondering. I just don't know if something can be done about it. I paged in game and nobody come cept a msg stating it was being sent to someone else and that items don't get replaced but did i still want to get help? I mean yeah I want help and wonder why this happen at very min. I know in UO you don't get items. But i wouldn't be so upset over it if it wasn't much stuff/not as good as stuff I had worked on and gotten/paid million for. Look at this I just bought and notice I spent all day getting 7500 of each reag and over 10k bottles thats over 200k spent(all in a a bag) I used I wish to locked this down in my house and now those are gone?

For the questions so far.. No I havn't used anything. Every shard I usually Buy/make a small house to macro and put in my chest to fill them up (and macro in) until I get more money/skills to get more houses and etc. Anyways next in uo I know you can accidently drop bags ontop of each other and think you click one of them to lock them down. But over years of uo knowledge you learn to move them. Also a fact I always got my bags(including what I did here) out in the open not behind walls/near things(all in the middle of the small house). So viewable from anywhere. And for doubts and kicks I looked behind walls and under bags and nothing. Also to note I just mention that my small house yesterday was maxed out on locked items and thats why I bought a new house to store stuff in. After this mess I am less then 1/4 of storing locked down items in my small house(so not like its in there and more proof that nothings in there locked down) Also to note I manually type my commands "And" I re type twice on every shard until it said in the window it worked. Also I clicked and tried to pick up the bags I did have locked down. And the house said my house was all locked down when I left. I log on less then 1/4 there locked down.

Like i said i aint to worried about money cept unless to replace it. Its the fact people help me out when I came and was super nice. I got 250,000 check 2cd day and over 15 rides of I know nothing special but nightmares, leveled up dyed dogs, pretty good quality armors and really cool weps abilitys and also dyes tons of them(including rare animals). Over 7500 reag of each reag and over 10k bottles(which iam more upset about armor/wep/ rides and dyes then anything.

Can't see the staff looking into this as they said awhile back they weren't going to take time to look into stuff like this because it was never a bug as people had suggested, but down to human error.

that's a bummer that this happened, and i hope it doesn't discourage you from playing here. anything and everything can be replaced by doing it again. i know it's hard but i'm sure people will come together and try to help you out. so far all i see is that you lost 7500 reagents of each kind (easy to replace bu i know costly) and 10k bottle (takes about 3 hours to buy up a vendor to max and then buy them at 999). gold is super easy to make here, and i'm sure you can replace them. if you have any questions about game play pm me and if i'm on i'll be happy to answer any questions.

Wanted to say thanks to anarchy. And even tho money and bottles and reags. I am still concern about putting stuff in the house again. And if you wanted to know I spent over a million atleast on items and not just that but atleast few animals and weps/armors.

I'm more or less guessing here, but you said you had a small house? I wonder if you went over the maximum lock downs in the house? I would like to think that if you go over, you would get a message saying you were over the max. but maybe it doesn't say that and your items went poof for being over. Just a thought.

Iam confused with the moving crate subject? I didn't move a crate or have a crate or have had a crate here. To the rest of the questions. Like Ive mention I played uo for several years I even helped a few of them for a couple of those years as main admin and one of them was just a mod. So I know from the past and for example when I was new to uo I even lost items due to the house deleting non locked down item issues years ago. I know I typed I wish to lock this down. I had a bank full and backpack full and so I made a house. I put bags on the ground in the middle tiles(so I can view them like all shards I play on) I then typed i wish to lock this down. Clicked each bag after doing so. Put mouse over them(they said locked down) on each one. I then did I wish to secure this and click all the bags(even tho secure ain't going to do anything after locking them down).So It said I was over my limit on items eventually in my house. I built a 2cd house logged off for the night. I was going to move stuff to my second house the next day. I log on and all but 2 bags were there. Few days later "even after the bags/items were gone" my plants for hives dissappeared(so really 2 times it happen).

Secured containers are more secure than locked down containers.
Were you growing the plants that disappeared?
