Pet breeding

I have asked this many times ingame without any replies so i thought id try here.When breeding is it important to train rhe skills of the parent pets before breeding or is it just stats that effect the offspring.

i dont train my up but i do level mine up for the ability points.

i level mine up for the higher hp for later gen pets alot of the skills doesnt matter but a high hp parent tends to make a higher than normal baby

well im going by what ive seen ive not done alot of breeding i may b wrong but ive had a baby have the same starting hp as one of its maxxed parents so im going by what ive seen
