A few questions

Post by Koveras »

Hello everyone,

I just started playing yesterday and I'm at a point where I dont know where I shold go or do to keep developing my character. I currently have enough skills (about 100 swords, tactics and anatomy with items) what would be a good place for me to hunt some baddies?

I also have a few general questions:

1) Is poisoning worthwhile here?

2) I tried my hand at taming but my animals keep getting swarmed and killed in seconds even after I level them up. What am I missing?

3) What skills or itmes should I use for healing?

4) What weapons and armor should I be buying or making?

Thanks alot :)

i personally would read the wiki and check out Devlin's guide to awesomeness. it has almost everything you really need to know about this game.

but i'll answer some questions

1) poisoning isn't worth while that much but with a shard where you can max all skills doesn't hurt. it does help against monsters that can cure itself. <---that way they aren't hurting you instead they tend with curing (poison field works best)

2) taming animals is great but a bred up (yes we have animal breeding here) to max would help you oh so much more. plus, there are imprisoned pets (imp for short) that are great :)

3) healing is pretty easy. i made a macro to lightning myself then heal 3 times. (just in case i fail)

4) at first i suggest buying a good lrc to do things like spirit speak (cleric spells) and magery/busido/ninjistu anything that deals with mana. pm snap on tool he sells very nice 100 LRC gear.

always know this command:
i pray to the gods.
cleric spells work off of spirit speak so try to get that skill up fast. touch of life is quicker and heals more than normal greater heal spell from magery book. plus, the spell scared boon is like a regen on health.

If your Necromancy is high enough to get yourself into lich form, you can just add a bandage every 2-2.5 minutes to train healing.

If your necro is low, try scoring a headband of power, or something else with a HP boost in it. Make a macro to remove it, and replace it, then [bandself. repeat.
