just one thing about the raffle is I think the items should be account bonded as many a times I've seen the winner selling the item probably for a lot more than they spent on the raffle. This is just an idea, as I only buy tickets for the items I wont for myself not to sell on for a profit. :geek:
Why is the mistletoe hanging over the baggage counter?” asked the airline passenger, amid the holiday rush.

The clerk replied, “It’s so you can kiss your luggage good-bye.”

In Game Name :- penfold if you need to pm me anything

Guess you're saying if you win the lottery, a raffle, you shouldn't spend the cash on or for anyone but yourself?

Why is profits bad? A profit is a reward for doing something and fulfilling a persons self interest, which in turn also benefits others. Have you considered with no profits and account bonded raffling would greatly decrease gold being sunk?

Take a wild guess who makes profits out to be the great evil in the world. Thats right... The people who want power over you. Profits are a reward for doing something productive. People around these productive individuals benefit, to include those who sell their labor which adds to the economy and enriches those around the laborer. It is much more difficult for those people wanting power over others to achieve this when people have the ability to provide for their own subsistence through labor and profits.

i love the raffles, i buy a couple tickets a day, but that doesnt seem to help me win. ive won 2 raffles. excelsiorian sandles i bought 1 ticket not expecting to win but i did and a compassion deco thingy which i bought 7 tickets and sold for 150 ed. couldnt turn that profit down, though the sandles are still in my pack. im not super rich on the shard, but i do usually have enough to get me by and help my friends when they need it. since more tables have been added my daily buy has gone up in price but i can hunt for the gold to get em. no matter my virtual financial situation i buy 1 ticket for every raffle. theres nothing wrong with the raffle system. if anything i think its working better than ever. As you all know the staff have alot on there plates right now and paging and pming over ur idea that the raffles are somehow being cheated is a huge waste of there time. Please do not send the staff messages like that. enough ppl are waiting for a response in the que without u driving the staff crazy over things that they cannot or will not change. Also the account bound idea would seriously drop the gold sink that this shard needs so NO thats not gonna work.

thats my 2 cents.

Please stay on topic.

We are not talking about the GM response times on support tickets (although that seems like an interesting post in itself).

Dumb question: When the auctions occur do you need to be online at the time the raffle occurs? Or if my number came up and I won and I was offline I would still win whatever?

I like the raffle myself, gives me an opportunity to win something I am working towards attaining if I am lucky. I'm looking at you Omni Spell Book.
