Issue placing items on bar pieces

I made a bar in my custom house and for some reason I'm having a heck of a time being able to place anything on those tiles so that they look as if they're sitting on the bar (IE, bottles of ale, etc.) In very few cases I have been able to lock the item down 1 tile to the east or south and raised it up using the deco tool, but I have not been able to actually place anything on the bar. Is this a known issue or does the bar tile pieces somehow mess up the Z axis? Thanks.

Unfortunatly you cannot (to my knowledge) place something directly on the bar. Only, as you said, place it below and raise it up. I have a little tip for you, its not much but its something. Try placing a small table (or something similar) down first, maybe 2 even, then place your bottle of ale (or whatever) on top of the tables, lock the bottle down and raise it up from there. Then put the small tables in your pack for later use. Still not all things will fit properly on the bar though. This tip also works well if you want to place a flag or something high on your outside wall, place 10 small tables if you want it very high.
